Check out @5:09... the lights on the base were blinking on and off, so it WAS plugged in for the maiden float. Then I unplugged to move it and tried it again. Nothing. Then I noticed it wasn't plugged, so hooked it back to the juice, and poof... cloud city. It's a mysterious mystery we'll likely never solve.
So far but that’s real interesting... it was DEFINITELY plugged in during that first test and still wouldn’t float, so I’m wondering if if I got a bad one
Erfon Elijah oh man. Too bad. I read someone who said they changed their power adapter to like a 15amp I think? And 1.5 v? And apparently makes the base work perfectly. I'll try to dig that up. Your video made me buy one...and then saw a cheaper one and 4 bucks shipping! Oh well! Here's to the best!
Yup, and if society doesn't stand up to the government will have to waste at least another 10 years of our hardworking money to just ride on self driving cars 🤣🤷🏻♂️😒
We can't trust people to drive sober or competently with normal cars, let alone flying cars, plus it will probably turn into 9/11 every single day with the flying cars.
This is probably the coolest toy i saw in a long time. But I would definitelly build a new desk top and hide the base (just like with those wireless phone chargers) and then have the car float in mid air. It would be even cooler. 😎
I have had a levitating globe once. It was tricky. The hard part of stuff like this is how to you keep the dust off of them in the long term. Every time you touch it with the vacuum it wants to fall off. If you watch Star Trek Generations (it looks like you have), they use the same maglev idea with Data's emotion chip - it has the signature "levitation wobble."
Hey..just bought one of these and it is very cool but wondering if it works as a Bluetooth speaker? All the reviews I have read..there isn't one that says anything about this? Both bases look like they have speakers but I tried connecting my phone and a sony Walkman to it but nothing is found as far as Bluetooth goes. The one I purchases actually said a Levitating DeLorean Bluetooth speaker. I actually heard a dog bark from the speaker when I put the DeLorean on the levitating base?
Love how yours came perfect mint in box .. mine came 3 months after purchased..being shipped from china box looks like its been tossed around .. led lights didnt work
Well it is 2019 and this seems to be as close as we are to getting flying cars. We are already 4 years behind schedule it seems, but perhaps there is hope that they will start to come out soon finally.
I would've killed for that back in early 90's. I went on a BTTF 1,2,3 binge at the video store in 91 I think and then bought a BTTF2 model and built it. The wheels folded under by a switch on the bottom. It was a great model and fun as hell to build fresh after watching all 3 movies lol
I bough mine on BigBadToyStore for 234$ over a year ago. Now the price is 300$. It's still not bad with how detailed it is. I had one of the Diamond Select 50$ ones before and now I can't even stand to look at it for how terrible the details are compared to my floating one.
I am working on it for real NO JOKE,I went to see Gravity industries jet suit Richard Browning, they let me try it on but not fly,I thought I will build a flying DeLorean if anyone wants to help contact me no joke for real !!!
i'm working on a hover conversion for the Lego Delorean. Thankfully i'm an Electronics Engineer so induction and electro magnetism is something i am TOTALLY familiar with LOL..... Let's see what happens
Pit bull and hover conversion lol. I guess the power rotates the magnets to keep it balanced? I love that and would totally do that. Did it for the Hot Toys BTTF and BTTF II Figures.. took years but, still! ;)
It’s a great model and good detail. I just wish when they replicate the flux bands they would light them white and not blue. The car in the film had white lights and they were made to look blue with special effects by ILM. Just for it to be a more accurate model I’d prefer white flux bands.
Yeah, I think it’s was a good buy! I have other stuff I collect but if I wanted something for Back to the Future this would be something to get. You get what makes you happy. Honestly the price point for what you get is very fair. It’s a good buy! Very cool to see the car Floating! That’s the best way to display it!
Same. They were cheaper back then too. I paid 234$ for mine and now I see them at 300$. I think it might be easier to make them float now. It took me some time to master how to make mine work and I remember hearing people returning them because they were completely unable to make it work.
chamoo232 I think people didn’t know how to do it and claimed they were defective. It takes a masterful hand to get it in that sweet spot. Basically when the base light turns on, it is in the proper position to float.
@@hillstones I had trouble with it until I found out it was way easier if you don't try to fight it. When you try to hold it it just seem to fight back and try to slam on the base. I grab mine by the underside of the bumpers on each side and I slowly lower it. The first time I got it on took me probably 10-20 minutes of messing with it and trying the plastic part. Now I can do it in seconds that way.
Ok so it can stick to the base and get damaged. My question is if you have it on the floater and the power goes out what happens? I think i already know the answer.
kevinsoffice LED Lights-Up with Electro-Magnetic Power Transfer System Over 30 points of Light-Up functions. With Electro-Magnetic Power Transfer function, the levitating base transfers wireless power to 30 light-up points on the floating DeLorean. No battery is needed for lighting up the car.👍🏼
It is a shame there won't be any Back to the Future part 4, which would have been pretty amazing for the fans. I know they made the animated film on youtube but fans really want a live action BTF Part 4
