i have a separate laptop! i feel like it would be helpful to buy a macbook first and then just use the ipad as kind of a support? for the macbook :) hope this helps!

I think it all comes down to personal preference! i don't really mind having the 11" since i have a macbook that i can use!! But if you're more comfortable with bigger screens and want to have that "extra space" I suggest going for the 12.9" :)
