Great review! In Russia, many of the same opinion about TK 7.0 It's just a show-off ... the 6.0S option was optimal. Everyone was happy with it, and this is a good budget option for infrared combat.
The lower hull also has the KV1 uparmour, that some KV1 had. I have never seen a KV2 with the additional armour plates. The swivel opening is a roof ventilator (to extract fumes from the fighting compartment) on the real tank.
I love your tanks. I am 49 and I just got the German Stut III. Really love the detail on the tanks and the ability to upgrade them. I think I may order this one today! Great stuff. Thanks a million for such cool tanks!!
Mine just arrived, it is the Tiger 1 v7.0 and there is an option that says something about double or normal current that when I try to drive the tank it makes it disconnect lol….
Would you recommend any specific Tamiya 1/16 RC kits for someone who hasn't ever built one before? I really want their Type 10, but I can't find any for sale anywhere (that doesn't look sketchy)
Can you recommend a good RTR Tank for a beginner that is good for IR Battles and under $250? Looking for possibly 1/16 scale maybe a little smaller. I saw some online that come in sets but looks very cheap in quality. I was hoping the IR device would be already installed since I am not very mechanically inclined. Thank you for any advice you have.
I just bought the Heng Long Sherman tank 7.0 ver. The only bad thing is that every time it starts up there is a loud beep (like a Toyota horn) than it starts up. Can that be disabled? I'm still learning all the functions.
unfortunately, it's a mechanical thing. The BB motor is the recoil "motor" and the firing only works when the barrel/BB piston goes all the way back. Delaying anything will just delay the entire firing sequence
Hey Stanlley, is it possible to use an external amplifier with Heng Long TK 7.0 boards ? ------------ I've tried to plug one to TK7.0 but it gives just some strange noise with distortion and nothing else. If I plug the external amp to an FM radio it plays fine.
@Stanlley Legion I did notice one thing - if I give more power to the external amp I do start to hear a bit the noise of tank but very distorted. Maybe the board amp signal is too strong and I need to weaken it with a potentiometer... ---- From what I see, the amp on TK7.0 board is Mix 2808 using 7.4v it gives 10w with 2ohm speaker and 5w with 4ohm one. So if we cannot connect an external amp to CN9 then the only solution to get 10W will be to connect two 4 ohms speakers in parallel that will give us 2ohms...
@@vadymvorobyov5913 this part honestly no idea, by my very limited understanding is the sound signal output should be from the volume control port and amplified through the amp, but HL boards since v5.3 do not have volume control outputs anymore.
@@StanlleyLegion Hello Stanley, here is my contribution for your help and awesome videos. I figured out that the generic Mix2808 amp (Heng long 6.0 and 7.0) boards supports 2ohm 10W-13W speakers (in reality it will be around 9-10W with 7.4V). ------------------- I did a test - I wired in a !! parallel !! connection 2 speakers (2X 3.6ohm 10W each - Chinese ones so not 4ohm...) which gives 1.8 ohm of impedance and around 1.5 sound boost comparing to the original HL speaker sound. Ideally the impedance of 2 wired speakers should be ! not less than 2ohm ! to be on the safe side but there is not a lot of speakers on the market with this impedance that will feet in the tank that's why 2 speakers did the job.
Why do they “upgrade” to v7 if it is actually removing functionality? Like is there something Im missing? I bought 2 of them (the v6 and the v7) for a friend, thanks for the video very useful.
Soo... What happened with the Sounds from the 6.0? Did Tamiya finally crack down on HL for ripping off their Sound Files and they now have to rely on the only two they recorded themselves or what?
