That I do not know, maybe a parasite but hopefully not, which usually 100% of the time comes from unquarante fishes or from whole food such as frozen or live blood worms. I feed mine exclusively tetra fakes to avoid any issues.
Hey Bro good stuff as always....Hoorah!! ??? Do Angelfish fry 3 and a half weeks old stay bunch up together on the bottom of the tank on their sides?? Is this normal??
I was not aware of the ‘red dragon’ trait. I have bred a pair of what I thought were double dark blacks. They were pitch black yet around a third if the fry were gold marble and all of them showed this red dragon trait on the dorsal fin as well as a ‘snakeskin’ pattern on their backs similar to a checkerboard discus.Chances are it is not a single gene codifying that but a combination of genes, it bred thrue though and I guess that’s the most important part.

I feed them tetra community flakes and nothing else. I've tried other brands but they are too costly for the fish room and I don't have as good a result with breeding.
