Aaron finally received the Taschen (publisher) Frazetta Book, after months of waiting. Join Aaron as he takes a look inside this massive coffee table book on the greatest fantasy artist of all time.
I pre-ordered this book thru Amazon back in Januaryfor $180 because it was free with all the gift cards I've accumulated and I knew they'd ship it in another box. They still haven't got any copies in, but haven't canceled the order yet. Hope I still get my copy, it's an awesome book for sure. It's even awesomer when you save gift cards for stuff like this instead of vitamins or toothpaste!
Love it so much it’s stunning , I got this monster book when it came out and I don’t want to unwrap the cellophane yet, I just like picking it up and putting it down to give myself an upper body work out. One day I’m gonna look in the mirror and have a Conan physique courtesy of Frazetta.
I recently got the collectors edition, limited to 1000 copies; i got number 644, with a foil embossed cover of his "Buck Rogers," comics. I paid $600+. It was worth every penny. I grewup with Frazetta and have many of his books and collectibles. He'll always be my favorite fantasy artists.
Hi Aaron, first came across your work at Crossgen, beautiful organic figure work. I noticed that several of the pieces you showed from this book were rather less chromatic than the original printed book covers (they've done that to my work as well), but the piece that was in the Crossgen office seemed to have a very saturated thigh in this book. Was that how it actually looked? Thanks
