Thank you for showing how you'd shuffle these cards! I just received them and find the stocky a bit papery as opposed to solid, I'm worried about riffle-shuffling them (I usually riffle-shuffle three times then overhand the rest of the shuffling time) and them standing this over time... Oh my! I am so sorry for responding just now. I don’t know what happened to the app - I missed some comments. 😔 But I guess everything happens for a reason, I just uploaded a review on the Light Seer’s Pocket Tarot in a tin, and I found myself confused how come I had a hard time shuffling the deck - now that you mentioned this deck is papery, I am reminded now. I think the papery stock they used here is intentional so people can riffle shuffle it easier. Because boy oh boy, my tiny hands simply could not do it with the Light Seer’s Pocket Tarot. Haha! I totally understand you! Haha! That’s how I felt about this deck initially - I was so curious with the regular sized deck, but I was unsure about the style or if I’d want it. But when I saw this one, and it’s very affordable too, I purchased it immediately. It was a good impulsive buy. This tiny deck is fantastic! 🥰🥰
I also got a relatively confusing deck delivered today. It's called 'The Inner Compass' by Teal Swan. There IS a guidebook but there's not a single meaning for any of the cards in it. There's only a brief message on each card with no actual image. But in its defence, it has 200 cards in the deck with an additional 4 'directional' cards, making it 204 cards altogether. And there's quite a few different spreads to try as well. Plus when I just went with it & decided Spirit would let me know which cards, not only did they all jump but it was like a conversation with Spirit & they all made sense. I'd liken this deck to the Archetype cards from Carolyn Myss. They're actually quite empowering. Not so much heavy-hitting like her (Teal Swan's) other deck 'The Blind Spot - Oracle Cards'. I'd only recommend that deck to someone who's very serious about shadow work because many of the messages are tough & possibly for some, might be triggering. The artwork on those is various black sigils. As the name suggests, you find out what's in your 'blindspot' with those cards. Whenever I feel drawn to them I kinda cringe because I know it's not gonna be rainbows & unicorns. I'm undecided with this deck you showed here though. I do like the artwork. But I thought the explanation for the card was a little vague. And although there's a main black & white theme to the artwork with a pop of colour here & there, I found that the images / artwork seemed to be a little inconsistent. Once you get used to them would you include them here in a reading to show us how you work with them? I'd be interested in seeing that if you wanted to do that. Thank you Raven for this review. 🙏🪶🔮🀄💖
Hi, Moniq! Oh wow! I like listening to Teal Swan’s philosophies, but I just couldn’t get myself to buy her decks. I thought it was a little too different from taste. I’m so glad to hear that yours resonated with you! That’s truly amazing, your guides must be very active. 💖🙏🏻 Ooof, this deck is the type that grows on you. I said that I was never really drawn to it before, but woah, I find it quite magical. Whenever I use it, everything is just so concise.. so clear.. like I would ask a question and the next card would answer it accurately, then it continues… it’s simply astonishing that in the little time I’ve had it, I’ve already developed a bit if affinity with it. I’m excited to bond with it more. 💕💕
