I've been playing miniature wargaming for around 50 years now.. World War 1 skirmish with anthropomorphic entities proves to be a lot of fun got my box a couple weeks ago.. we are not disappointed!
Love the additional bitz, the QR sheet, the paper terrain... and of course the Quar!!! But I think my biggest reservation is the price... 24 plastic Quar would normally be a $35-40 boxed set from WGA... so yes, I expect some mark up for the collaboration, but not sure if the inclusion of some bases, 6 dice, some cards, and the 48 page handbook makes this an $80 boxed set... I know all those bitz do add up, so I'll probably get this anyway, but it just seems a bit expensive for what you get when compared to the rest of the products from WGA.
ZombieSmith would be striking gold if they release rules for platoon level (three or more squads) games of 28mm This Quar's War. I also watched your first Quar battle report, and hope it's only the beginning.
Ordered the starter box, really liking these little dudes. I love the contrast between their innocuous cartoonish looks and the pretty harrowing WW1-esque setting they find themselves in.
Got my copy the other day. I have built up two of the sprues so far. BTW the tractor(tank as we would call it) is not available in this scale. Zombiesmith has 3 different scales for Quar with the other ones being 15mm and 6mm. The vehicles do exist in the smaller scales. Maybe, vehicles will be added to the 28mm line?
