I had already bought the Umarex T4e HDX .68 cal home defence shotgun last year and was so impressed with it, I had to get this new gun from the Umarex T4e line, aka the “training for engagement” line that Umarex are creating at the moment. I have the HDR .50 cal too in the under 11j version, which is amazing, ok so not as well made as the HDX but still really fun to hold and use. I have nothing but high hopes for this, apart from a few videos, I’ve not seen much in this and most focused on the shooting, I was more interested in getting my first impressions of the gun across. Removing the valve block on this gun is not very wise . In due time it will explode on you.

Exact ! Then for half the price of a HDX68 you got the same loading capacity and power with this HDB. I have got the HDX68 and now thanks to your video i’m sure i won’t invest in a HDB even if i like his look. Thanks

I had already bought one of these prior to watching your review and I am very pleased and impressed with it. I am unable to lift anything too heavy so it's worth mentioning that women less muscular than yourself or disabled users also like to be able to defend themselves with a weapon of manageable proportions. However, had I seen your review first you would have put me off from even looking at one. Not to be unkind but I found your review to be somewhat boring as it reflected how you 'felt' about the shotgun rather than what it is capable of in use.

Thanks for your feed back, but I’ve done exactly my job in reflecting how disappointed I was, that’s the point in an unboxing, it’s a personal unbiased 1st impression, acting any differently would of been a lie, hence why it says unboxing, and not review. But again thanks for the notes.

I think the HDB would make for a great paintball gun, because of its light weight.

Thanks for your review. However, I think it's worth mentioning that not everyone has the same strength and reach as you in order to carry/hold a weighty Paintball Shotgun as one size does not fit all. I liked shooting using my husbands air rifle but found it far to heavy for someone of my size so a lightweight rifle or shotgun suits me better.

Just a thought but if it were for home defence, outside the uk of course, wouldn't you want it light and quickly maneuverable for faster target acquisition? ;) Heavy is more 'realistic' if you want to pretend it's a real firearm

The aluminum ammo will bring the joules up to around 22j. As is right out of the box is all that you need because with all of the upgrading and removing the valve block/restrictor can cause this gun to explode in your face.

Nope. So wrong i upgraded mine to 86 joules 2 years ago. Shoot it every day.No valve block or restrictor, no problems except for replacing the stainless steel cookie sheets its blowing holes through.

@@donaldrush1364 maybe for you but I wouldn't do it. I know a few people and there's videos on RU-vid of the consequences of upgrading joules too high on these type of air guns. 30J is good enough, if I have to go any higher I'll just step to my Pcp's and my firearms. 86J CO2 is what? 6 shots and then reload another tank. You better not miss because even a .25 cal 10 shot semi auto PCP especially with hornets will tear your ass up.
