NO, Color Reveal Mermaid dolls have a better design, their tails actually looks like a fish This cheap mermaid it’s a rip off of one of Dreamtopia mermaids, which are super garish with all that clashing colours and stupid, unnecessary decorations on the tail And this mermaid and Color Reveal ones have THE SAME ARTICULATIONS! Only at the neck and at the shoulders, but the rest of the body it’s totally stiff

I mean, making a more cheaply made doll to sell for a more affordable price is perfectly fine, but it's when they specifically/purposefully copy, steal, and knock off of other's designs/work, then that is what bothers me about it. (that and the dolls being potentially unsafe/made without proper safely regulations, and selling them for children)

Yeah and the worst part is some people even think that they are original like when I was in a market and there was a thing where they were selling toys but they were all knockoffs fake Sofia the first dolls,fake Disney toys,fake barbie and the man selling the toys kept saying that they were real and I tried to tell him that they were all fake and I think that he must be out of his mind and the worst part is he didn’t even know everything there was knockoffs

I just always wonder if these cheap dolls meet health and safety standards for toys. They seem to break so easily and smell toxic. All kids deserve to be safe when they play, regardless of whether they can afford brand name toys or the budget toys.

Well me and all my friends when we were children played with those fake dolls (some where really pretty and actually well made) and we never felt ill or something like that. But things could have changed a lot and that's just my experience

Here in Russia, fake dolls are definitely easier to find than originals. I never had original dolls as a child and I didn’t even know that there are better quality dolls. The original dolls are expensive. Some stores even put additional protection on LOL OMG dolls so that no one steals such an expensive product

When my daughter was 2 I bought her some cheap dolls in those cones. Supposed to be super heroes but looked nothing like but meh, I knew they'd get thrown around. She still has them, intact with full hair and she's 8 now. Yet her first Barbie Fashionista at age 6 has a missing leg.

Were you able to fix the leg? My daughter has several fashionista barbies and luckily, they're still in tact. But I will say the quality is way different than the ones I played with as a child in the 90s.

@@jessicataylor7005 unfortunatly not. I culd hot glue it in place but then it would be stuck in the same position. My daughter didn't want that so she now uses a cane *like you mummy* even though I have 2 legs, 1 is just part bionic. 😆

@@kanatapaw no they don’t the hair gets all frizzy and if you try to brush it, it comes out some times the paint will chip or fade,sometimes the limbs will fall out and you can’t put it back sometimes the the doll’s head doesn’t even match the body and the clothes fall apart over time

The first time I watched this I had the volume down as I rocked my grandson. I watched it later with sound of course and I loved watching the facial reaction to the dolls without sound. I could tell what was going on just by the expressions. I love watching the weird fake doll reviews as well as the real doll reviews.

I know where the mermaid’s audio is from! I knew it sounded familiar! So the audio was stolen from an Ariel doll, the Colors of the Sea one from a few years ago. My brother owned it before it got donated.

I feel like we should have a sound effect from the show The Price is Right. From the 5 Universal Sins of Knock Offs 1. Bad Adobe jpeg images 2. Trademark copied font 3. Inarticulate common trend catch phrases or logos 4. The infamous middle bald 👩‍🦲 spot 5. The children of slender man 🦵 legs Gives it away every time🤣🤣🤣

I used to have (well, kinda still have) knock off Disney Princess dolls from the early 2000s and I seem to remember that they also came with a knock off Barbie as Rapunzel doll. They were made where their heads could just be popped off and on, but unfortunately, the leg joints had a tendency to crack, so my Snow White doll became an amputee after about 4 years.

When I was a kid I played only with knock off Barbies… some were very bad quality, some quite good. I could afford real dolls only when I grew up.

The Mermaid is a copy of the Dreamtopia Jewel Mermaid. And Paintjobwise she is exactly like Barbie. Not a lot of details painted. Mattel still only paint the front side of Tops and Tails.

In my opinion these dolls were better than usual fake dolls that we often see in shops and stores. I think fake dolls have different qualities, even chinese dolls!

The Reason why I'm so Disappointed in "Barbie Extra" is because they literally have the same hair quality as the knock off ones (Ex. Have tangles at the ends of hair)!!

When I was young, decades ago. They sold counterfeits like these in baggies. Even my dad's garage had some for sale. They were easy to get. Same cheap articulation & see through plastics with sparse rooted hair.

As a non-native English speaker who studied linguistics, I always have a blast reading such product descriptions. I don't speak the language the manufacturer (probably) machine translated from, but I see what they did there 😅 The "partner" thing definitely simply means "friend".

As a very young Child (3?) in the early 90s (1991?) had fake Barbiedolls, one of them was brunette und the skin was made out of very thin plasic so you could see through. I really liked that one because it was the only brunette i ever had and she looked like my mother (also brunette, but a normal woman). Later i had real Barbies. Wonder what happend to the fake one… she was one of my favorits

The only “fake” dolls I have ever seen from where I live is at dollar stores but technically they aren’t really copying anyone as the designs are pretty unique and the faces are really ugly.

Here in Russia we have doll brand named “Sophia”. They usually steal Barbie face molds (a lot of Millie), but some of their dolls looks very unique. They even have new curvy dolls. I bought one and gonna buy more because their skin tone matches barbie L.A.Tan skin tone which is pretty hard to find. Outfits are nice too. I would rate them 7,5/10. Simply because their “Ken” doll are ugly. Otherwise very decent budget dolls.

When I was little, I bought a doll set that was fake Disney but small. Think if you dressed up the Barbie Kelly dolls like disney princesses. I bought them at the dollar store but looking back they for decent quality, they weren't bald.
