In this video I go over zorro show a new one and see the difference between the titanium and other sizes hope u enjoy. #zorro #zippofanatic77 #unboxing #review
I bought one war armor after watching, crazy.. the case quality really leaves zippo in the dust... Zippo really need to up their game if their wannabe is better than the original 😤 This zorro war armor will probably outlive me so the hell with lifetime guarantee
@@Zippofanatic77outdoors they ripped off another ripoff and ended up better than the original.. you made it sound even worse than I did 😂 But it fixed everything ppl keep complaining about zippo. Sturdy hinge, perfect alignment lid, no overbite or underbite, no fuel evaporation issue, basically fit for the name "ARMOR" Btw I mistakenly bought the even armorer lighter which is thicker and has more hinges than the one in this video, too heavy for everyday use I think..
Hey bud, great videos. Question though, on one of your videos of these thick, in-frame hinged, o-ring Zorro flip lighters, you said there was a size even larger than the beefier one of the two (as far as I can tell, the standard big one coming in at 150 grams is the '912', and the larger one is 210 grams called the '912s',) but I haven't found the size above the 912s like you said existed. Would you have a link of some other site where it could be viewed? Thanks for your content man, I believe I went up to Sault Ste. Marie once as a little kid, but I can't remember if it was a relative in my state (Michigan) or if it was on your Ontario side. Lots of Michiganders have family on the other side too, and afaik travel used to be fairly loosey goosey
Love all the videos, had zippos for years and I have learned a lot watching your videos. Quick question though is I have a brass 41 replica on the way and I want the brass zorro insert with o ring and solid bottom. Where can I order these? I can't seem to find online anywhere. Thanks in advance for any info!
Are the brass ones just solid, polished brass? Also, are the chrome ones also brass underneath? And, between a Zorro double torch insert and a Zippo double torch, which would be better as far as fit and reliability are concerned?
The zorros are solid brass yes. The chrome ones are solid brass with chrome over it. I would get zorro torch. They are more reliable. Also u can get 4 of them for the price of one zippo one.
I have a knockoff titanium Zorro armor that fits normal zippo inserts with a piece of painters tape but it will not fit the butane zippo inserts, the soft flame or torch. Have any ideas how I could make them fit? Was considering filing down the side bumps in the insert a hair on each side.
Have u considered getting a zorro butane insert? I wouldn’t file anything off a zippo insert. Also if it’s got a rubber seal lid I would only use fluid anyways.
@@deadstickdave9479 lmao actually if your looking for tricks this will help u significantly because the zorro is so heavy and balanced it makes it much easier for tricks I find. Square edges my video I’m using one I’m pulling off trucks way more easier with a zorro
@@Zippofanatic77outdoors Yeah, I tend to hold on to my brass vintage look better than most too. Definitely see how the extra weight would help too. Ima get me one for sure, and find some stencils for etching while I'm at it!
Hey ZF77 you should do a review on the zorro 538 it’s basically a zippo slim but with the zorro gasket and hinge lmk if your interested I can send you the link
@@Zippofanatic77outdoors I don't think I would like how fat it is haha I like small heavy lighters like my dunhill I even find my zippo a little fat but I work around it
Weird thing I recently discovered about the Zorro insert is that I can't do the Twilight flame trick, maybe it's something I'm doing wrong but I swear the flame just quickly dies instead of staying low
@@therevan7288 I have trouble with it sometimes too. I have to keep adjusting the wick untill it will. Some times puff up the end a bit. Shouldn’t be the insert I’ve done it on zorro inserts. U don’t see in my video but I’ve had hard times with position many times has to be one perfect. Wet the wick too
Price is right can’t deny it. Kim’s was nicely nickel plated also maybe get it done to yours. I still have your designs I didnt use ready to go on the cricket
Not sure but I ordered from multiple different sellers they were all legit. Aliexpress is backed just like eBay. U will not get ripped off and get your money back.
usually a nice tip on buying on aliexpress is the number of ratings, units sold and reviews. If a product has 2,000 units sold with a rating of let's say 4.6 stars, a decent amount of reviews it's legit. See the pictures on the reviews as well to get a more real feeling of the product. And check the shipping costs too. Some have set them high
to add to my reply i'd like to say that you should favor higher ratings. 4.8 or 4.9 stars is usually the normal. most of the products are between these ratings. So don't worry
@@vitorbravo5535 thanks for the tips. I ordered a couple from a seller with good ratings. Estimated delivery is September 12 so that’s kinda crazy but whatever lol.
@@Zippofanatic77outdoors Armor cases are even heavy already. I can't imagine myself carrying a big ZORRO lighter daily. Seems to me that Big Lighters are best left at the office table.
@@bernardtan1 yup I agree with u there. They are to big to carry. Especially in the summer. I think they 80$ on aliexpress. U can get a brass one for 20-30$.
@@fabianwiramihardja5769 no brother. This definitely weighs more. But there is absolutely no discomfort. I would even say feels better. Titanium is very lite weight but extremely strong I love this lighter.
@@Zippofanatic77outdoors other than the rigid hinge design I moving toward titanium because of the hefty 912 /912s/915 for daily use. Thx for the insight
@@fabianwiramihardja5769 yes also your zippo fluid won’t evaporate out of it because it has a rubber o ring around the lid preventing any evaporation while the lid is closed. I filled one up put it on the shelf. Lit it up a couple times everyday. Lasted 1 month 3 weeks
@@chochi10 nope. They are all good. I’ve ordered from multiple. Was all good. Also they have money back guarantee so I’ve never ran into an issue. If u live in North America like me expect it to take 1 month and 1 week to get hear though
@@Zippofanatic77outdoors Its a regular zippo its shiny and it has a rose and 100usd design also i got a flint pack and a wick also a leather holder thing that straps to the belt but i filled it with fake zippo cuz i didnt find the real deal also i watched ur video whe i was setting my zippo up u know the s shape wick and all
I’m torn about these. On one hand, if you buy one you are supporting a company that steals designs, but on the other hand they are so cheap and high quality. This happens a lot with these Chinese companies.
"Steals designs?" do you know when the zippo was designed? 1936 Patent. The guy who designed it died in 1978. Do you think that BMW is "Stealing designs" from Henry Ford?
@@benfennell6842 The difference is, when the Ford first came out there was nothing quite like it. You can argue that everything is a stolen design but at some point in time it wasn’t. Once a patent expires it’s a free for all. The problem is, most products that come from China are either a direct copy or reverse engineered from something else. This is because things aren’t protected under patents in China like they are here. A patent on a product in the U.S does fuck all if a company in China gets ahold of it. This is why it’s a moral dilemma when ordering anything from China.
