Let not forget the year Phil Ford and Walter Davis came close to winning. It was a shame that he got hurt. I believe if he would have been injury free we would have won that one too!
Man I loved Kenny Williams shot. UNC always had someone in any given game step up and light fire under the team. And you never knew who it would be because we always had alot of talent.
The Marshall teams are my favorite. The most fun to watch of all. What a shame they were denied the chance to play the final game. Thanks for the video.

I said to all my friends and family that when Carolina beat Wisconsin in the maui tourney in 2016, they would be the NCAA Champs. I also said that when Kentucky beat us in Vegas, we would meet and beat them in the big dance . 2 predictions that come true. 👍👍
im assuming we are all heels fans here one common thing with all good unc teams is a good point guard ed cota phil ford ty lawson kendall marshall marcus paige joel berry thats what this years team is missing i hope seth trembel comes in and fills that role
Can I get a Witness! Anybody out there that is going to college I hope you go to UNC and then and only then you will know the awesome bliss of true college basketball power and we will never forget their players. UNC for life! BOO DOOK
Sure have enjoyed watching the heels! I remember that game vs UK and that play at 28:01, Paige to Johnson alleyoop. That crowd was loudest I've heard them since Marvin Williams shot to beat Duke.
@@scottworley1479 Our program is still on solid ground. Why? We have a coach who was above average in the NBA [Davis] we still have some great players coming back and we have some recruits who I believe will support them. Will we win the National Championship this year? Probably not but Scott some teams know before they even begin their season that they want even be considered as one of the teams to even make it in the field. You're probably to young to remember the UNC teams of the past and an how they hustled and played as a unit. I believe we will when our share of games. Maybe even 20+ but that will be determined by the character of our players. I already know the character of our coach and that will make the difference.
@@sugarcrisp7 I'm plenty old enough. Been watching since the early 80s. I just know I've never seen college basketball like this with all the changes and rules. The players have changed alot also imo. I like Hubert Davis and his character appears solid. He's a Christian and isn't afraid to tell it. I hope he does well and picks up where Roy and Dean left off (except the last couple years). I hope he has more success.
The best moment of the last ten years is UNC bearing Gonzaga. The real title game was UNC vs Kentucky. Gonzaga was the 3rd best team. Should've been 2 stra
Six UNCvDuke games I really wish the Tar Heels won that they didn’t from the past decade. 2012 in Chapel Hill, 2013 in Durham, 2015 in Chapel Hill, 2016 in Chapel Hill, 2017 in Brooklyn and 2020 in Chapel Hill.
Great video as a UNC hoops fan. This reminded me how much of a pure PG Kendall Marshall is & how good Harrison Barnes is. Barnes actually won a championship in college, the NBA with the warriors and an Olympic gold medal if I’m correct.
My top 20 greatest Tar Heels 1. Michael Jordan 2. Vince Carter 3. James Worthy 4. Bob McAdoo 5. Billy Cunningham 6. Walter Davis 7. Brad Daugherty 8. Charlie Scott 9. Bobby Jones 10. Jerry Stackhouse 11. Rasheed Wallace 12. Antawn Jamison 13. Kenny Smith 14. Danny Green 15. Cole Anthony 16. Harrison Barnes 17. Rick Fox 19. Coby White 20.?
U think of 2012 and Butter's injury but if PJ and Leslie play in 2014 that's a completely different team with different expectations. The NCAA really fucked us with that one
