I just finished UNC and this whole video just warms my heart and reminds me of all the good times I've had these past four years. I'm so excited to see you having fun through the rest of your college experience. GO HEELS!
hey!! thank you for your video. would you say koury and horton are less social because there are only 4 people? do you feel like you missed out not having 6/8 people?
Not at all! You meet so many people in other places like the dining hall, the Pit/social settings, and more. My friends from Koury also plugged to more people outside of people in my dorm. Living in Koury/horton was a nice escape from the social dorms like e -Haus and hinton James
I’m glad I found your video I’m in 8th grade right now I’m wanting to play football in the nfl when I grow and I wanna play football at unc since I’m from North Carolina even though football isn’t there strong spot
Hey again! Just wanted to update you. I am waiting to gather all the resources to create a very helpful stats video! I will definitely have it out before the end of August
About how much time did you spend on homework each day? I’m applying to UNC and what I’m most worried about is the workload. Also, I’m very nervous that I won’t be accepted. I’m from out-of-state and I don’t know how to stand out.
Hi! I spend about 4+ hours on hw +studying each day but it honestly depends on your major. I originally started off in Chem then switched to psyc (both stem majors) so the work will be a bit more dense. But u got it! Check out my video on getting accepted out-of-state for more info ✨
I know that koury is an “honors dorm,” but you don’t technically have to be an honors student to live there. Is it weird to live there if you aren’t an honors student?
UNC-Chapel is my top choice for sure!! But I am kinda discouraged because first-semester junior year I received a D in Algebra 2 but I retook it and got an 88 but the D still shows on my transcript sadly
I wouldn't be discouraged! You can honestly use it to your advantage and try writing about it by explaining how it taught you a valuable lesson (how u learned from it, grew from it, etc.) i believe you can get in through your writing and by having a robust list of extracurriculars (because it shoes you can balance). I may make a video in the future on tips to increase your chances of getting in :) I hope that helped tho
@@kenekae Yess!! I definitely have a long list of extracurriculars but I didn't know if that would increase my chances because of the bad grade. But I honestly just didn't understand the information in the class and I was distracted but I definitely learned from it. Do you think it would be helpful to still take the act?
Kaycie Bell if it won't be too much of a burden financially or mentally, I say do it. It really doesn't hurt to try bc it'll only help u. If u like your score, send it but if u don't, I doubt you'll have to send bc of covid
@@kenekae Thank you!! I think on the unc website they stated that we still have to send them but they don't have a particular score they're looking for.
I lived in Koury. Which is the nicest freshman dorm in my opinion. Horton is also designed the small esophaguses if u come, id recommend either of those!
Can guys join the African dance group? How many black fraternities are there? what ways are there to build community? Does the large student population ever intimidate you?
So sorry I'm late! But yes guys can join the African dance group. We actually have a some on the team, they just didn't participate in the competition I showed. Currently, all the black fraternities are on campus right now except 1 (so I think 4?)
The best way to build a community would be through joining clubs or attending social events (floor events, parties, club events, etc.) and sometimes. But unc starts to feel small when u have youre circle of friends/associates
