This was my favourite ride in Portaventura. I enjoyed it even more than Shambhala. I was there 3 days and the longuest waiting time on the screens was 1 hour. Since I was alone, I used the single rider every time and never had to wait more than 10 minutes.
Sounds like a weird addition. Port Adventura really cannot handle a ride with such low capacity. And to do such a half baked job on the theming in the actual ride itself is so anti-climatic given the que line. I could imagine many guests being irritated and underwhelmed by this ride given the extreme wait and great looking que, hopefully the park will have to upgrade the ride portion to increase guest satisfaction.
Is the spinning good and well excecuted? I'm really excited for Fast and Furious and it's rumored to be an Intamin Muliti-Dimension Coaster just like Uncharted, but 1000% crazier and better with 4 launches, 4 invversions, and a top speed of 73mph. This ride looks so fun!!! Intamin nailed the ride system (despite the reliability) and this ride looks so cool! Can't wait for Hollywood Drift as I love Intamin 💙
@@NathanHydra you definitely went in the wrong direction then lol. The games are a lot of fun and a nice homage to Indiana Jones and Tomb Raider while having a style of its own
@@kohowch those kind of games personally ain’t my cup of tea, although I can admire the quality in them. (I’d rather spend my days getting over a thousand hours in planet coaster hehe)
I've just left salou and thoroughly enjoyed this ride, i can honestly say i loved it but the park opps absolutely kill this park the staff just seem like they cant be arsed and are incredibly slow. The ride itself is brilliant ive never experienced anything like it, i do absolutely recommend using the single rider line just so you can get a few rides. Its still not on express on any option, which is ridiculously expensive and is needed to be able to get on most rides in a timely manner
@@CanobieCoaster Makes sense. It’s also a bonus that - if I remember rightly - for each night you stay, you get two days at the park, the day before and the day after. I had three days there, so I didn’t feel pressed for time, even with the obscenely long lines for many things.
Then the ride itself is an Intamin mutli-dimension coaster with multiple launches and special trick elements. As you described, but it is multi-dimension, mutli-dimension.
Thanks for the detailed review. I've been to PortAventura a few times but I haven't ridden Uncharted yet. The park is actually really great, but the operations, waiting times and especially the Fastpass policy are terrible. I have already experienced that trains that were dispatched stood in the station for 2 to 3 minutes until they finally started so that the queue was at least an hour long. All this to sell even more Fastpasses. You've been to a lot more parks than I have and maybe you can rate it a little better. Could you address this topic and how Fastpasses are handled at various parks in a special video? I think that is very important because something like this can significantly influence or worsen the experience in the park for guests.
Canobie Coaster would say: The building looks like a cross of Big Thunder Mountain and Indiana Jones. About the later, I think some said it was rough, Canobie Coaster would say... A) Indiana Jones? It is glass smooth. B) Indiana Jones? As a whole it is pretty smooth, it has a few spots of shimmying though. C) Indiana Jones? It is not the most comfortable.
I was on the first day 4 (FOUR) hours of wait time and the ride was not that good, lots of problems with the trains and the green gas (second screen on the general queue) did not work, also did not work the ventilation system so a day later I was sick. It was my first experience on a coaster in which the train rotates so when my train went back to the station (which by the way did not spin automatically, the cast members had to spin it manually) it was backwards and we did not appear on the photoride so my group was given a free new ride on Uncharted. Any tips on not getting dizzy on a ride? While riding and the train was spinning I felt a little bit sick and i had to focus my sight on the person in the second row
Sad to hear about all the problems with queue times... As for my experience this week 0 minutes all day. The week after Halloween and before christmas is magocal for portaventura. There are no shows and theres a lot of work happening in the park, bit being able to ride all coasters with no wait time is worth it
Canobie Coaster would say: As for smoothness, Uncharted is excellent. It is glass smooth. What about the smoothness or roughness on the wooden coasters in the Far West area, Stampida and Tomahawk?
Yeah it's always strange to see short trains like this in a park this size. Big uff. Otherwise the ride itself looks fantastic, even though I was expecting some more props during the ride itself. I just don't understand why the first launch cut so short. I understand the trim though. I guess they still want it to be as family friendly as possible.
Wanted to go on this so badly when we went, unfortunately they would only allow us on with a prebooked time slot as kids were disabled. The app didnt work and then just saod fully booked each day we tried.
Looks good but since its in my least favorite European major theme park and its about a thousand miles away i don't think i'm going to see it anytime soon.
@@CanobieCoaster The operations and their fast pass policy's. It should be one of my favorites parks it has everything i love good theming ,good rides. Its just that i hate fast passes (at least unlimited and for money) and what they do in that park is ridiculus. I don't mind it that much if a park has decent fast pass policy.
Why didn't they build this in the already established Aztec themed area!? 🤣 They could've easily built this where La Cantina is, and even reused the facade. Or behind Temple del Fuego and just relocated an admin building. What a stupid location. 🤦♂️
The park talked about that in an interview. They decided to put it in the western area because of the facade, but they picked Aztecs since Mexico is next to Far West.
The coaster part of Objectif Mars is nothing to write home about, but I think it’s theming and storyline might work better than on Uncharted. The drop track at the end is a nice surprise but the layout feels uninspired and the launches are not punchy. The dark ride section at the start is alright since it doesn’t rely only on screens. I think it’s quite different to Uncharted overall .
@CanobieCoaster the ride and the wait. It had technical issues several times during my wait in the queue, but honestly, the ride was underwhelming and relatively forceless, besides the final drop. I would say that the ride experience with zero expectations was acceptable, but I had high hopes and travelled from the UK especially... it wasn't worth it. On a positive note, the facade and themeing in the queue line were pretty impressive.
You seem to have very low expectations when it comes to IPs and theming, the animatronics look terrible and the characters resemble absolutely nothing like those from either the game or the film… The amount of the money they’ve spent on this ride you’d think that they would invest in the effects and employ the actual actors from either the game or film franchise..
It's so stupid that this wasn't properly themed after the games, and using Naughty Dog's engine and character models for the animations. The screens in this look so stupid and cartoonish, I don't understand why this obvious choice wasn't made
@@CanobieCoaster definitely the game, especially as there has been 4 main line releases over the last 17 years (!) Which is a much larger potential audience than a single film. A large amount of the film viewers will also have only seen it becuase of the games, and will have been disappointed. I hope to see in-person experiences based on gaming, Epic Universe's super mario world is a good sign I think, but my absolute dream would be a full size park or land recreation of an area from Dark Souls or Bloodborne, these worlds are so much more detailed and evocative than movie IPs and even people unfamiliar with the games would love it. Walking around a real life Yharnam, soaking in the arcitecture and being scared by beastly scare actors, exploring alleys and finding deep lore ride theming with meaningful storytelling.
