Mushroom Cultivation for beginners! Inoculating rice spawn bags (aka Uncle Ben’s Whole Grain Brown Rice) and Zombie Myco All-In-One 5lb bag. Growing mushrooms for beginners! Thank you guys for watching!
Great first video! would highly recommend mixing / inoculating in different angles / spots as it dramatically speeds up colonisation and it’s a myth that spores need to “find” each other
Amazon has a $30 plastic foldable still air box designed for this, with the hand holes. It's not the best thing you can get but it's better than not having one. Just rub the inside with 70% alcohol. Also use individually packaged alcohol pads when cleaning your needle, and don't rub the actual needle if it's fresh from the package
I just injected two 5 lb all in one grow bags with some jedi mind fuck. Have a syringe of penis envy and tidal wave but waiting for my grow grain jars to arrive. Does anyone have an idea what strains are the fastest from beginning to end? Just curious because not a lot of info out there that i could find. Thanks in advance.
I innoculated 6 of these bags before realizing they suck , 4 out of the 6 I didn’t touch and the other 4 I obsessed over. The 4 got ruined and the 2 I neglected came out mint 😊
".. that's a double sided coin." Don't all coins have 2 sides? I would much rather have a double edge sword. On the one side, hot enough to encourage growth, but not hot enough to cut yourself.
Bathrooms and kitchens are the worst place for contaminants, the amount of mould spores in these areas are much higher than if you were to do it in another room. Bathrooms particularly need ventilation as spores can reach tens of thousands per cubic meter especially if you see mould visible.
I totally agree. I mean, props to the kid for taping up the vents and being mindful of the air flow, but yeah, mold spores, bacteria, all sorts of crap floating around that warm humid environment.
@@spiet7380 A bathroom that has a sink and a toilet, regardless of how “clean” you keep it will always have the potential to be a breading ground for mould, this is simply because mould thrives in areas where moisture is present. Like I said earlier, bathrooms and kitchens are the worst places for contaminants ,that isn’t to say that you can’t successfully grow mushrooms in these places however it will increase the chance of contamination.
Right, but @stlknowswhy makes a good point. And, if your making these vids as semi-instructional, may be a good idea to make small mistakes on your own time.
Well it stresses the point of how important it is to sanitize everything. You can wipe down 95% of your equipment and still get contamination because you missed a little spot and spores got in
I agree. It is important to do so. I was just busting balls because in the 50 seconds it took to watch him wipe those down, he could have said outloud, "[I can't stress enough] how important it is ..."
It’s easy to call people lame while hiding behind anonymity. I found this helpful because the first time I used uncle Ben’s rise about a year ago it worked great. And I thought I remembered how to do it, but it just wasn’t growing as fast as I thought it should so I found a video and this was it. I forgot the air exchange ports! I hope it’s not too late. Probably not knowing help fast things grow when you let them.
