Jared Bichler He was dating a girl who would only have sex after marriage so he arrange a fake wedding so that they could have sex. But in the ending he felt guilty and admitted everything to the girl.

James Avery just brought so much warmth and compassion to the role. He's like the black John Goodman. The character was clearly annoyed by Will, but you could always see how deeply he cared for him.
Rewatching these clips I'm surprised to see I still laugh at Avery's voice and physical acting. A lot of other 90s sitcoms like The Nanny and Seinfeld fall flat for me, but Fresh Prince still has some great jokes and the chemistry between Will and Avery is great. TV programs have gotten better since this aired, but for what its worth I still like some of these scenes. RIP Uncle Phil
inutero10 Or you could accept the fact that Seinfeld's humor just isn't for everyone. Personally, I find the jokes just don't make me laugh. It's not even like the guy said that Seinfeld was a bad show or anything; he literally just said that the jokes weren't as funny as he once found them. Surely, you should be able to take that without saying that he has no taste.

i was a teenager when this first came out, and was so bored by black shows, so I didn't understand the true genius of this one. watching clips now, whoaaaaaaaaa. this is the kinda stuff I hope to teach my children. bill cosby was a bore, he was too far above in income, 227 was too far down, I couldn't relate. I still feel that way now, but this, this is brilliant.
