Old South Adventures. WhatYouTalkingBout!!!!??? In my Arnold voice. Bluegills are dead game to its core Sir. Be the hardest and shortest fight of our life Lol. 4 years Navy, 3 years Army and over 20 trucking. Want find a better piece of meat. Si you is the Man. Those looked just like a few that came out my grandChinaDoll's grease.
Great stuff. It's all about family and making those memories. You are blessed that you are able to record them. I'm sure Bullfrog will enjoy watching them when she is older and sharing them with her kids.
Old Si knows what its all about .Ultralight fishing and a bed of bream in my book there ain't nothing better. It's good u were in clear water no u didn't get hung up. I love fishing stumps and layed down trees with crickets. Using ultralight tackle with 6 lb test and a #4 or #6 Aderdeen wire hooks.Good video and I use just plain cornmeal the white or yellow and salt and pepper. Can't beat it.
Caught bream in Australia on chicken intestines. Gut, scale and slate. Deep fry in 375 temp. canola oil the whole fish. Shredded cabbage and sour cream based sauce in a blender with cilantro lemon juice and a dash of hot sauce(vinegar base). Corn tortillas and a lite curry white rice. Just pick the meat off the bone onto the tortilla add some rice finish with cabbage and top with sauce.
Uncle si always keeps my laughing he should be on stage n people will come from miles to see one of the funniest man ever uncle si the military veteran
I respect the hell out of Stone. He is helping Phil and Si get the most out of there later years of life and in the process enriching his daughters life!
That’s what I love about bluegills… once you find a group of them all you have to do is keep casting and they’ll keep biting. A can of sweet corn is what we used for bait as kids
Ultra Light and Bluegills Pound for Pound the best fighting. How I was taught to fish. Love it. Bashan Lake East Haddam CT. pull the old zebco off the dock if you werent holding it.
There is a special place with the lord for men like stone. I can only hope to A)be able to take my fishing mentors when they are older like this and B) have someone to take me when I’m up in age too.
Fishing was one of Jesus specialties, you can catch a lot of lost souls while fishing if the application is correct! The lord will supply when you get old. To have a friend like Stone cannot be measured on an earthly scale. God Bless!
Yes they do !! I have pictures of 3 10 in. Blue gill, caught in a private pond ! And many 9 and a half in. Ones also, you are right, i thought the 10 in. Fish were going to break my 6lb. Line !!
I like to cut the head out like a u shape leaves the meat above the head and of course glad you didn’t miss this but they have to have the slices down the sides of the fish like a professionallll I usually make one or two more slices then that
If you don't want to make the cuts before frying then when your ready to eat, just pull the top fin off and use a butter knife and run it down each side of the backbone and filet it after it's fried. Delicious. Good luck and God bless.
Try using buttermilk sometime to soak onions and try Vidalia sweet onions for onion rings. It's Delicious both ways. I know ice tried it the way you're showing here.
😂 Si says you taking too long to bless the food bo. Now I know Si aint over there eatin them fillets that was made for the kids is he ? lol. I never tried slicing mine crossways like that before frying. Seem like it might get mushy but if the grease is hot enough I guess it don't matter. Ima try it. 👍 Seen it done on other fish.
If you scale them cut off heads wash them then put them in fridge over night then fillet them you get all the meat filleting them cold I'm sure you never read this but it works so much better filleting them cold.
Hello ! What the name of that spinning rod and the size of that spinning rod also the name of that spinning reel and size of that spinning reel that uncle Si was using in this RU-vid video please only. Please reply respond comment back to me please with your answer. Thank you so much 🙏🙏
In the US, bream (pronounced brim) is a common name that encompasses several of the larger Lepomis sunfishes. These usually include Bluegill and Redear Sunfish.
Your onion rings didn't turn out so good did they ? Common sense should have told ya that the corn mill wouldn't stick to onions without making it into a batter mix
I laugh when they call them bream, those are an actual species of fish in Europe and the u.k. Those are bluegill, pumpkin seeds, warmouth etc or generally panfish. But keep calling them bream......
