You motivated me to clear my downspouts on my house because they were clogged with leaves and debris from all the rain this weekend. Everything is flowing away from the house like it should. No beaver dams or lodges to deal with so that is a good thing! 😀Great videos
Hey Post just wanted to say that it's been raining like crazy in my area this weekend and I noticed my one gutter was clogged and water was going everywhere. I got up there and unclogged it and seeing the rush of water go down made me think that I just had my very own Post 10 moment. Very satisfying.
0:00 Look at this culvert pipe, look at all the sediment you can tell this whole area has been underwater as well its backed up. Let's get down into the water rolling up my sleeve because i just want to reach in there, how deep is that? Not to deep at all this sediment, I'm thinking it's completely blocked with sediment maybe? Where's the pipe? Words of an absolute legend.
Your unclogging and exploring reminds me of my youth. There was a certain amount of satisfaction in it. in your store you need a mug that says "Hey, everyone!" Carry on. Post!
A great addition to your drain-clearing tool kit would be an Army-surplus trenching shovel. You could use it to dig, chop, pry and the newer ones have saw teeth on one edge, I believe. Anyway, you're doing a great job. The East Coast is lucky to have you!
in my teens my one of my buddies who was into bushcraft and i got some surplus trench shovels from boy scouts. we sharpened them up, and put teeth on one side and bam perfect bush tool.
You always have cool videos, man. It's good that you are unclogging pipes that get ignored by county agencies. Also, I love the scenery in the places where you go.
I love your enthusiasm about unclogging culverts, it’s catchy. I’ve never even realised they got clogged. Thank you Post 10. I look forward to your videos
I have limited space and the tool I'm using now is the best of both, I don't carry the wide iron rake anymore since storm drain clogs are about extinct because of excessive street sweeping in those areas
You can tell they didn’t compact the backfill enough when they installed this culvert because at 0:46 and 3:16 and 3:42 you can see puddles on the road right over top of it, indicating that there is a dip where the road has subsided. There will probably be a big ol’ crack there soon that they’ll have to fill with hot tar, assuming this road is paved. (I couldn’t tell.) Burying the culvert deeper would help too, if the surrounding terrain allows.
Hi Post. Hey I had an idea for you. You should bring a round piece of plywood , you could drop it in front of a culvert till the water backs up then release it to help clear the pipe. Would be fun content as well. See ya
C'mon, Post, admit it - at some level you're thinking "Superman" thoughts! -- "... CAN CHANGE THE COURSE OF MIGHTY RIVERS ..." 😂😂 Cool vid, buddy! Hang in there!
I love your videos! I’m from South Africa 🇿🇦 - so my while having my morning coffee I check if there’s anything new from Post10, then do Wordle, then start my day.
Aren't you afraid of snakes or something when you stick your hand in the water? I dunno, I'm always afraid of getting bit by something but you're like just putting your hand in there all nimbly-bimbly.
You've found something that appeals to so many people. I've heard you don't want to do what you love for a living because it will ruin it for you. But if you ever wanted a job with the state you would have 700k references on your resume.
Why do you think that a plastic pipe is worse than the metal? Wouldn't the metal pipe rust and deteriorate over time faster than the plastic? I know that HDPE pipe has a life of at least 100 years.
You say you don't like plastic pipes, is it just the ribbed pipes or do you not like the multi-layer smooth on the inside, ridged on the outside pipes? Out town has started to use the multi-layer pipes as they say they are stronger (than the other plastic) and supposedly last longer than the metal ones. Personally I am not convinced as water can get between the two layers and freeze as our winters get really cold, potentially damaging the inner smooth layer.
Why don't you bring a potatoe rake and reach inside the culvert to pull out sticks that you know are there? And show a view inside the culvert like the Oh My ladies do - it;s very good to see
Any day with a new Post 10 upload is a good day, thought you were going to sink to the bottom when you d Stepped in to mucky mess Post 10, that was some good suction to hold you lol
