Today I passed in front of a boutique that had a crochet skirt and top on display and I said out loud “I could make that.” But didn’t give it any real thought until I saw this video. Thanks, Toni for the inspiration to go for it.
I'm in love with your cardi! I hope we'll be seeing the pattern for this soon - it would be a great way to use up some of my stash that I've been holding onto until I find the 'right' project. In the warmer weather, I'm shifting into summer wearables, like tanks and light cardigans, along with starting gifts for later in the year that can be made in smaller pieces, like strips or granny squares, so I'm not working with a heavy blanket on my lap in the warmer weather.
I love your cardigan, Toni!! Congratulations on reaching a subscriber milestone! My awesome husband gifted me a Yarnhive subscription. So excited to see this community flourish 😊
Love the suggestions. Especially thrilled the pumpkin color dk weight will be fine for the summertime knit I’m casting on this week. Your videos are always entertaining and inspiring. Have a blessed week.
Hi Toni . 👋🏿 those tops at the beginning of the video are definitely a yes . And totes and the wraps . I made your lama wrap and ❤️ it . Didn't think I had it in me . But with you as the teacher , you made it so easy . 👍🏿
I love the cardi you are wearing and would like to make it myself. Where can I find the pattern to buy? Congrats on your 750K keep it going girl, you are almost there! Hugs!
I really was drawn to the bright yellow sun pattern top, but it is not a color i can wear 😢 such a bright cheery color and cute pattern though! I have a lot of neutral cotton faire yarn in my stash right now so was thinking about pool cover ups or lacy bell sleeve pullovers. Some farmers market bags would be a good stash bust and double as gift bags too!
Thanks Toni! I’m going to make a button up polo (Calad shirt) very much like the one you show. I bought the yarn already at a fiber festival. They had a sample of a similar pattern made up and I had gotten a deal on some solid alpaca and I grabbed a variegated for the stripe. I’m very excited. It just shifted to the top of my priority list! Also want to make the Summer Splendor Cardogan. So pretty! Now to finish a project I’m working on…😁
It is winter here and I am making blanket for a way of doing something out here or there and I do not do light color I use colors for the important style steps in the real interesting in a different way to get a better understanding of what I see as a way to make something for you that is amazing and one of a kind I love that the content is great for the best of the most beautiful and amazing way to get a life styling in your own ideas and I will be enjoying the new items that I plan to make a great experience for your own style and experience 😊
Love if this could become a series. Every season or spring- summer then fall-winter. And now I have even more designers to follow too from the patterns you share. And the temptation to start at least 3 more wips 😅
Great video ❤ I just finished my first crochet top and now I just want to crochet wearables 😍 So happy they are trending … and of course if it wasn’t I would still crochet and wear 🎉
I'm currently working on a tank top from some orphaned granny squares. I'm making it up as I go, so lots of frogging, but it's looking good! And I NEED that yellow dress, my goodness. 😮
As someone who wore giant hairbows when I was a teen in the early 90's, that is one trend at almost 49 that I will not return to. But ties/bows that are functional, I am on board for. I want to find a simple flowy dress to crochet this summer.
I am new to crochet and would love to make a garment, but I'm scared to do it since reading the patterns trips me up. Any easy, super beginner friendly garment that you would recommend?
Everything you are showing reminds me of the 1960s and 70s. Especially the granny squares. Very classy, Toni. That was fun. I love your courage in mixing colors and styles. Happy nearly summer!
Yes! Thank you so.much! I loved this inspiring video. I:would love to attempt a dress and very interesting to see skirts there too. The smaller projects are perfect for finishing projects quickly! Thanks Toni 😊
Hi Toni! I made my first sweater recently after crocheting small projects for years and it reignited my passion for the craft. You are one of my fav creators and I love your content! Is there a pattern available for the sweater you are wearing? I would love for that to be my next project!😜🥰
Congrats in the 750k. I just watched this video, my first of yours. Im an instant fan & im subbing. This was so well done & intriguing. Since you asked, Ive been making crochet flowers. Next ill need to make some water bottle bags. Then i want to finish a multi beigy neutral tone hoody duster I started for myself. It has a Catherines wheel stitch as an accent down the sides in a contrasting dusty blue. Id love to see the cardy you're wearing a little better. I like the color blocking & asymmetrical color balance in the sleeves. I can see an interesting button on it. How long is it & how many buttons does it have?
I have been going thru all my stash and leftovers to build up enough poundage(!!) needed to build the yarn to make basket bags. Turns out, I have enough to make 4 or 5 very large totes, lol! Did not realize how much yarn I had collected and now an amazing way to use it? Win win!!
I'm thinking that flower headbands (2 for two nieces who are both preteens) will be what I whip up next 🤓. I watched a tutorial for joining as you make them... You cracked me up when you said "Sipping on your 3rd cocktail 🍹🍸..." 😂🤣😆 Thanks for this video 😊❣️
Here's hoping for your 1M subscribers, I tell all my crafty friends to come here. I'm starting a limonata, it's so frickin cute! But gotta say I've made a crochet skirt and every time I wear it I get snagged on all sorts of things.... thinking about friggin it to avoid further wardrobe malfunctions
Toni, dear, Toni: Love, love, love your website, channel and FB page! Thank you for your joy, your sharing, your knowledge and being so transparent with your Mama and your home!! Sending love from Texas! Keep up the great work you are doing! Love that sweater!!!!
there is just not enough of time in the universe for me to crochet everything I want to from this video! Thank You TL!!!! Dam, got to get going if I want to finish by 2074!!
Thank you, Toni, for the update on trends! I got all inspired to use my yarn stash to make baskets and bags. It’s addictive and hard to stop so I have to rest before completing my third one. I seem to acquire yarn faster than I use it. LOL! 😂😂😂
Thank you for all of the wonderful summer crochet inspiration! I want to make a tunic-style top and/or dress depending on how much yarn I have. I have a few patterns in my Etsy cart (Castaway Tunic by Wild Spring Fibre Arts, the Tern Tunic Dress by Hailey Bailey, and the “Kelly” summer lace dress by UnitedDesignersCoop). ❤
If you're going to make a full dress using crochet, you've GOT to either line it with something non stretchy or make sure you block it really really well. Otherwise your mini skirt is going to be a maxi skirt in no time lol
Hi Toni! Basically I am just learning some new crochet and knitting stitches right now, my last big project was another Lamia Wrap, I'll keep in mind something for ⛱️ summer!! Take care 🎉😊
Hi Tony. Love you. Wanted to let you know some of the URLs are not working. Seems like an auto-capitalisation while typing has messed up the links. Just FYI
Those trends sound a bit daunting tbh 😅still working on my last project, but this has filled my head with ideas... I'm curious about the bamboo yarn though; do you have any recommendations?
I love your ideas but I’m not good at creating anything crochet. I can only do anything crochet with tutorials. I can follow a video to make stuff but I can’t create anything on my own. I’m a 66 year old and plus size so please put up tutorials for me❤❤
I am a crazy person. I am making the weighted pony bead blanket. I am using a neutral cream with a rainbow pattern with glitter pony beads. I am loving how it's turning out. I want to do a hot pink yarn with black beads next.
Hello from England. You have such a kind, enthusiastic manner. You could offer icecreams to Eskimos....and they would LOVE them. You draw everyone in to try something new! 😊
I recently visited the mall in Orlando, FL. It has been YEARS since I was in a mall. I saw crocheted dresses, swimsuit coverups and vests. Sure opened my eyes to what is “in”. The prices you ask? Let me just say the tiny vest was marked $189.00!! I’m new to crochet this year…having a ball. Toni….you are the best!! Wish you were my neighbor 😊
Really appreciate all the effort you put into listing every single pattern in the description. I am currently making your Starlight basket, my first basket ever! I realised I could really use some containers to help organise my house, can't really afford to buy any atm which made me a bit sad. And then I realised, omg I can *crochet one myself!* Really enjoying it, thank youuu 😊💜🩵 ETA Do you have any more videos of you and your mum crafting together? I watched the Q&A video you did together and it warmed my heart and uplifted my soul. 🩵 I would love some more "crochet/knit with us" chatty videos with the two of you. Your love and respect for one another is so palpable, I just adore you both. For someone who didn't get that growing up, it is so lovely to see 🥰
I made the Summer Splendor Cardigan a bit ago, using Lion Brand Truboo in Mushroom and it is soooo cute and comfortable and it works with everything as just a super light layer!
Hi Toni! You inspire, encourage and instruct me. I'm really intrigued by the "unknown" crochet skirt in this video. It's midi length and has random, asymmetrical vertical stripes. I can't tell what stitch is used. Any guidancce would be appreciated.
@TL Yarn Crafts Hi Toni! I hope you are well. I really enjoy your videos. I'm truly captivated by that skirt marked "unknown" (time stamp 6:06, Trend #5 - Wear It Out). Would you kindly tell me where the picture comes from, please? I would like to try to track down the pattern for it. Thank you and have a great day!
Congratulations on 750k, I have been telling everyone I know who crochets about your patterns and tutorials and your general style, you're my favorite online crocheter!
Oh wow! Love the patterns you showed !! Can’t decide which to crochet first … thought I had my summer craft list sorted but definitely have to squeeze in some of these !!! Thank you 😊
Thank you, thank you, *thank you* for posting the links to the projects that you showcase. (It drives me nuts to see YT shorts that feature snap shots of fun projects, but then just leave you hanging with no link, or a link to a fake Ai crochet pattern.) I love to hear your tips and commentary, and I trust your content. You will always be my go-to and recommended maker for tunisian crochet, good energy, and and honest info.
Love love love!! I'm currently working on a tote bag - no pattern, just making it up as I go along. Definitely going to make a few bows to add onto it for a little pop of spring/summer cuteness!
