Guess the weight of the gold nuggets here before the end of the video! A huge shout out to my friend @digdougdig for the camera work and endless knowledge. Subscribe to him in the description!
Hello family, I have been filming the live video shots for Matt, please leave me constructive comments, and I will try to get YOU the best videos possible. Thanks, Dig Doug Dig
I have the 16" mono and DD coils. Haven't found gold with it yet but it's only a matter of time and usually only use it in places that have been cleaned of any trash
Nice pieces Matt ! We call that placering . While I love the fit & feel of the MS3 headphones, I dont care for the tone that comes out of them. Seems dull and not high pitched.
@MountainMatt , why was Doug running the Equinox 800? Doesn't he have the SDC-2200? I thought about picking up the Equinox 900, it's on sale right now, but was told I should only get at least an SDC-2300 for serious prospecting. Any thoughts on that Matt?
I'm sure Doug will leave a comment too, but he's using the nox 800 because there is a significant amount of small gold in this area that is too small for a pulse induction detector to find, like the 2200, 2300 and Axiom. The 800 happens to perform well in the ground in this area. There are places a VLF detector just can't handle and that's where the PI machines really shine. My advice is always to start with a VLF metal detector and graduate up to the PI machines. Good luck!
Hello, I have a 2200, 2300 and a Nox 800. My 2300 was out for Minelab service last fall, and I decided to go test out the gold mode on the Nox, OMG, OMG, didn't realize how much gold was left behind, the club hunted this pit for a decade. The gold is mostly tiny little no see em size, 1/3 grain. But consistently average about a gram a day. Haven't seen a skunk in months. 😁
