Hey Steve, great video. Instead of a metal bar, you can also use one of the 2x4's used to crate the lathe. Just be sure you have a nice clear one with no big knots towards the center. Brent
Bought my Robust American Beauty five years ago from Bret and Deb English (extremely friendly and helpful people). I live in the country no curbs, so the shipping delivered the lathe using a box truck with a lift gate. The driver was very helpful and paced it right in my shop. After in crating, my wife and I used an engine hoist and cargo straps to lift the lathe up and slide the pallet out of the way. I then built a cradle to fit on my lift cart (1000 lb. capacity) to support the lathe while we maneuver it to its final place in the shop. Your method, along with the wheel kit, would be quicker and easier. I recommend the buyer take you up on the offer of using them ( if the don’t buy their own set) when they buy their Robust American Beauty (which I high recommend they do!). It will be a purchase they will not regret. Cheers, Tom
