CBN seems more relaxed and confident during these pressers and this speaking event in Jax than during the previous two years. This team has a lot to prove to the doubters... methinks they are going to that very thing. GO GATORS!!!
I pray Napier not only looks at the Miami game as a must win, but i hope he has the mindset of "i will do everything in my power to embarass and humiliate these clowns on national television". I just dont know that he has that killer mentality unfortunately
Napier doesn’t know how deep the blood feud with Miami is. Mario Cristobal will circle the Fla game as the most important game on the schedule and knows the history. Napier with his answer displayed much of the same sentiment Will Muschamp had in 2013 with “Oh it’s a rivalry but we’re an SEC team so it’s just another game”. Miami (as a whole, school, coaches, players, fans) treats the Fla game like their Super Bowl no matter what. Fla (as a whole) often doesn’t have that same level of intensity on that rivalry. Need to change that Napier better treat the opener as the most important game on the schedule bc it might actually be, lose that game and Fla will have a tough time winning games since Miami is nowhere near the best team on Fla’s schedule.
He’s definitely changed the culture, nobody is getting in trouble at all. Also like how they ask recruits/ visitors to run the 40, stack that speed like we used to.
He seems a lot more relaxed and jovial than in some of his past pressers. I think that's his confidence in the system and processes he's installed coming out. I look forward to the Gators shocking those pundits who are sleeping on UF.
Did y'all hear that subtle shade thrown at Miami around the 4:50 mark? He basically said the canes hasn't been good in a long while giving respect 😂 Goooo Billy!
Basically, he put it to the leadership of the team and asked them if McClain would be a good fit in the locker room. With their agreement, and McClain coming as a PWO, it's a low risk play on Napier's part.
