How about the Peabody Museum in Boston where seven thin gold plates with pictorgraic and hieroglyphic writings upon them. These were found in Chichen Itza's sacred cenote in 1904 by archaeologist Edward Herbert Thompson. That should be even more impressive than breast plates.
'no iron because its damp', well iron survives from ship wrecks and its pretty damp below the sea, the iron artefact would eventually survive as a hollow lump with the corrosion around it, the corrosion is not going to disappear, ive seen this a few times , I have worked on proper archaeological sites a few times
My grandfather was shown so many things through Jesus Christ and other who were medicine men and chiefs of old. All they did was ask and was shown areas to prove of proof. This is how we was able to say yes for facts not just through our stories of old.
Since Cumorah was a day's march from the narrow neck of land with ocean on each side, how does the New York Cumorah "match every description" of its location?
Awesome explanation!!! Blew my mind! I always thought that the nephites and lamanites resided in central America, but I'm glad that you cleared that up for me!
Us native call hills mountains. And many tablets were known in different areas not all in New York and was said in the Book of Mormon. The closer we get to the end it was more of the Lamanites stories and no none Nephites just many were not spoken of and thought as dead just they were not all dead but under protection from the Lamanites.
I would not be so quick to dismiss the possibility that Central Americans had metal working over 2000 years ago. Up until a few years ago it was believed that copper tools dated back to around 3000 years ago. This is until Utsi the 5000 year old ice Man was discovered with a copper axe. The Mayans had metal breast plates and head plates. The only question is, how long ago did they start using them. The science is still out on that. I too would like to know details about these North American museums that house ancient metal armor. I have seen the Mayan armor but I'm not familiar with these North American artifacts you speak of.
+AJ Harper Spelling is not universal across international boarders, even among countries that speak the same language. Other than that, what is your point? 허브
We *may* call it "undeniable", but people can deny and ignore what appears to be reasonable evidence very easily, unless they choose to allow God and the Holy Spirit to witness the truths taught by the Book of Mormon!!
Great interview, thank you! Very true what Meldrum says here; that the Mayan civilization pre-dates Lehi's arrival to the Americas, by hundreds of years, has no proof of two divisions of people fighting each other and has a clear history of coming over on boats from E. Asia, as their DNA clearly shows. Also, the Mayans had no knowledge of metallurgy; no swords, knives or arrowheads, which the Nephites clearly had good knowledge of, as Nephi was well-versed in the ancient Jewish practice of metallurgy: steel bow, sword, metal plates. Lehi and his family, along with the Mulekites, clearly landed in America with a flourishing civilization in the Ohio Valley region.
