Based on the *Vdara* sign outside his lounge room window, I can see that this guy lives on the west side of Las Vegas Fwy, slightly South West of the 'Vdara Hotel & Spa' across the road, meaning he's living in the 'Panorama Towers' or 'The Martin' - Great location.. Admittedly, I'm not sure what kind of work exists in Vegas for this guy to be gainfully employed..Haha

Think about it this way, if you go high end on everything, you would never have an expensive house to begin with unless you double your income. Another way to think about it is, there are plenty of million dollar houses that have Toyota's inside their garages.

Impossible to have it centered unfortunately =\ There’s a metal brace that holds the shelf to the wall and the only gap in it that fits a cable is off center. I’d have to grind out a hole which isn’t worth it on a $30 shelf lol

If the wall is just a plasterboarded stud wall you could drill a hole behind the shelf and feed the cable down the wall. That would hide it completely 👍

A 90 degree power cable and HDMI would allow you to push this back a little more to stop it overhanging the shelf edge. Looks very nice though still! :)

As far as daytime viewing, your image brightness and contrast would be drastically improved with a good screen, which would be impressive for a budget projector. It's washed out looking without it because the light is being dispersed in all directions, but I get that it's a budget thing.

Add a borderless projector screen... you'll see about a 25%-30% increase in picture quality. And add ambilight behind the projector screen too... and maybe one large bluetooth speaker as well.

This projector is not 4,500 lumens. It's 4,500 "lux" which is a marketing gimmick to make cheaper projectors sound brighter than they are. I'd guess this is around 1,200 lumens.

@@RonfoshI don't know what web site you're referring to, but the Amazon page lists "4500 Lux". There is ZERO chance this budget projector has 4,500 lumens. It would cost much more. Like I said likely around 1,200.

The one on the side table is the IKEA FADO and the tall floor lamp is the IKEA VIDJA. They both have Philips Hue lights inside 👍🏻

What a beautiful view from windows your bedroom has! You can probably go for a budget soundbar which you can wall mount above the projector. JBL/Yamaha with built-in sub woofer.

Awesome set up! I’ve just purchased a projector for my bedroom, however I don’t have a large blank wall due to windows and furnishings! I was thinking of getting rid of my yellow curtains and simply replacing with a light yellow pull down blind! Then placing the projector on a floating shelf like you have done above my headboard! Fingers crossed it will work and the picture quality won’t be Compromised too much! As a blind will set me back £20 and a pull down projector screen around £50

You can buy the Bose "Soundbar 500" for $500 USD and place in on top of the drawer (right below the projected screen). Considering that it's just a bedroom, that soundbar will suffice just fine.

Sure! You can watch RU-vid via an Amazon Fire TV stick or other streaming device plugged into the projector, you can plug your phone right into the projector, or if you get the JIMTAB Pro (or something else) that has Bluetooth or WiFi you can screen cast/mirror

Great video, subbed, I am saving for my birthday and $250 is my limit, thought about getting a projector but I'm not sure if I need it, I don't watch movies often, I don't play on console and buying one would come with lots of additional costs, like cables, new shutters, a mount, wireless set of pc accessories and all that for civilization 5 on my bed when I am too lazy to move literally 3 steps to play it there, not sure at all

No . projectors actually have the same or lower energy consumption . why ? a projector does NOT need room ambient lighting . No light bulbs to run when using a projector . TVs need ambient light . thus , a medium to large size TV with lights ON , can use more juice then a 200 watt projector . so , get the projector( with LED light Lamp ) and keep your room lights OFF. here , 133 watt projector , and electric bill has NOT gone up , cause i No longer need to run light bulbs for ambient room lighting while watching the big screen . 22 inch TV with a 60 watt bulb hits about 100 watts . 120 inch projector screen with projector hits about 133 watts . ditch the TV .

I have the same projector I think (under a different brand - Vankyo V600. Also used an Ikea shelf (since the projector needs to be set dead center, the keystone is crap). Bought a 5.1 surround sound system to go with it for just $150 and added some cheap LED lighting for backlighting behind my 100" screen (which is retractable) for the full home theater experience ;)

Just what I want, a brand X Long Throw Projector over my head with no universal remote and no smart TV or ability to really use one. A fan behind my head on a shelf with no ability to stand in front of the screen. The worst bedroom configuration. I have a 299 dollar UST projector, and an LG HF65LA 1080P projector (450 dollars used with 800 hours and a magic remote) 13 inches or so from the 120" image. Why the hell would I want a loud Cheap projector just over my head? Rhetorical. I will mention the 25K dollar 4K UST projector.

And just understand, folks: In 2020 you can't get a true 1080p projector for less than $200. Those low-price projectors on Amazon are all 720p. They "support" 1080p, and some even lie and say they're "native" 1080p, but I assure you they are not. When you get them, you'll see on the box that they're 720p projectors being hyped up as "native" 1080p by dishonest sellers. Spend at least $200 on the projector. If you grab a screen, you'll be happier with the image than if you project on a wall (I did the wall projection for the first year of owning my mid-range Epson, and moving to a real screen with the proper reflective material is a massive boost). Also, be warned: The lower-end projectors (under $300) will be sort of dim and cruddy in anything but darkness or near-darkness. Higher-end (over $300) will work fine in room lighting, daytime with the curtains pulled, or other low-light settings. Even in bright light, they'll look decent, while the cheapo mini projectors will be super-dim.

That projector is definitely not 4500 lumens, not even close. I have a cheap portable projector that claims to be 7500 lumens and it's only a fraction as bright as my JVC X790, which is rated at 1900 lumens.

You may need some decorating help. It's good to have a "clean" look, but have you ever seen Creepshow from 1982? Hope you don't have a roach prob, cuz them meaty little animals will stick out like a sore thumb. A few oil paintings and some xmas lights, them long antannaed carpet runners will blend right in! "for your projector!"

There are $300 name brand 2k projectors on the market. After having a projector for sometime this is what I learned. 1. Make sure it has all the ports you need and then some. My intended use for the projector has grown and i'm out of inputs. 2. Is there an audio out? On board is nice but what if you want to run surround sound or the speaker in front of you. 3. DOES IT HAVE DUST FILTER SCREENS. A projector bulb gets quite hot and has a fan for cooling. Do ever wonder how much dust gets sucked into a projector? The dust will cause the projector to over heat and shut off or it will start to cling to the bulb. Make sure it has dust filters. DO NOT AIRDUST INTO THE PROJECTOR. 4. Find out what those usb ports actually are. Power? Data? Data and power? I tried to power a bluetooth speaker that sits on my projector, but the port was data only. Another projector was usb power only. So if we plugged in a flash drive with a movie it would not show up. 5. Screen adjustment options. I didn't think this was a big deal until I needed it. If you have your projector angled down then your screen will look like a trapezoid. You can make adjustments to correct this. However if your projector is not mounted straight forward and at an angle, you have a different trapezoid to work with and not all projectors can correct a vertical trapezoid.

you have a good check list . Walmart onn 1080p projector : 3 HDMI inputs . 1 USB input for video . 1 USB input to power a Roku stick . 1 headphone output 3.5 mm . 1 AV output 3.5 mm , 1 VGA input . 2 Fans and 2 air filters . High Intensity LED light , life span 46000 hours . manual Vertical keystone . Manual Focus Ring . For some reason , Brightness Contrast Color levels , all 3 settings do NOT adjust . Image is pretty good . A little blurry at the edges . For movies and video the edge blur is NOT noticed . Edge blur is seen with fine font text on a computer . Without horizontal keystone , the projector needs to be horizontally centered .

4K this 4K that what a load of 'bollocks' movies look better in 1080 anyway, I've seen quite a few movies in 4k and the picture looks too realistic, so much so it looks false plus with the 1080 display your able to have that soft picture display effect, don't get me wrong 4K is good with certain content, Sports, documentaries, music videos etc but 'not' movies! So job well done mate and good on you for not falling for all the hype, Now if you click on the red dragon twice you shall see what happens to one when falling for the hype! Lol

wish i ccoukld share my 10ft wall picture in my bedroom from my vankyo 1080 projector $319 included tripo stand and screen but i never unbox the screen and its up on a over door shelf ill never buy a tv again before this i had onn 780 walmart $170 add the roku stick i pay 60 for cable 1 cord the power cordn projector comes with a very nice carrying bag also

PLEASE HELP I'm terrible with tech I use this exact projector and the speaker is great but sometimes I want to be able to use my headphones so I don't disturb anyone, it has a headphone jack and when I plug the headphones in the headphones get the sound which is great but.... For some reason the audio also still comes out through the speakers aswell Any tips?
