Fantasitc talent on display - let's hope that as these youngsters develop and mature their game, their temperament (also on display) develops and matures suitably.

agreed, hope Asal isn't to much of an influence on the young players' temperament!!

The u11s using height to lift that ball to the back of the court is brilliant (and looks hilarious). Good job all!

Is throwing the racket after the match just an Egyptian thing or is everyone doing it nowadays? I am still not used to screaming at my opponent after winning a point. Am I too old fashioned?

Horrible mentality: throwing racket, yelling,... They have to learn respect on equipment and on opponent, that's the base on sport! They should watch more how to behave in sport like do Ali Farag, he is a good example to follow!

Nice squash from a few youngsters but is our awesome sport breeding brats? There seems to be a lack of sportsmanship, poor attitude and a serious lack of manners displayed, which is scary and unacceptable at such young ages. I hope the coaches out there start teaching their players better as they are accountable for what is being produced.

Already foot-faulting like the pros ... and the refs ignoring it, like the pro tour refs do. Sheesh. Apart from that (and apart from the racket-throwing and the scream-fests), pretty impressive stuff.

Okay they are young but a bit of sportsmanship and court etiquette would not go amiss. But the referees are also to blame for not saying anything and the organisers of the British Junior Open - ENGLAND SQUASH. Shame on you.
@thelastgreatdevolutionary1044
Can't help but think that the bad sportmanship (screaming and throwing your racquet etc.) is picked up from watching the adult players. I saw a replay of Mo. El Shabagy (ex no.1) screaming in the face of his opponent. Should lose points for that. That should stop it world-wide.
@DaveNeve
@DaveNeve Год назад
Hello. If the match was the one with Paul Coll then Paul Coll deserved it. You have to see the entire match or how Coll shouted first in the same way
@thelastgreatdevolutionary1044
@@DaveNeve I think you might be mistaken because I did watch the whole match and didn't witness Coll (fellow kiwi) shout at anyone as is his practice. He is a mild mannered player who generally treats his opponents very well. Mo was shouting a lot that game. Not good and totally unnecessary and kind of unmanly. One thing that does annoy me about Coll and most of the top players' game plan is the reluctance to take a risk and kill the ball. They would rather keep on rallying and let the opponents make the mistake. It probably pays off for them, Coll and Mo both being world no.1s at times but it makes for a boring spectator sport and far less fun for them. Just a thought.
@peterhammer6915
@peterhammer6915 Год назад
@@DaveNeve what?? Coll never shouts in opponents face 😂😂. Shorbagy shouted because of Colls coach and that again has nothing to do with Coll. Terrible behaviour from Mo. And it not only happened once but several times.
@Orbituation
@Orbituation Год назад
@@DaveNeve You're creating a false narrative to fit your motive. Coll shouted at the floor but at Mo's direction, and Mo decided to make it about him. The shout from Mo to Coll's face was very intentional.

@petereedy6092
@petereedy6092 Год назад
I agree with Michael Pham here - Khan hit a loose shot, then went the wrong way (which doesn't necessarily preclude a let - but in doing so, Khan 'created his own interference' by running to the wrong side of Capella - then running into him) Hard to tell from this rear view, but it may also be that Khan would not have reached the ball anyway

Absurd to criticise these kids on court etiquette. They're young teenagers playing in the matches of their lives. I feel its a bit much to expect them to entirely contain their emotions. They'll figure it out as they age, as kids do.

Badminton? Unfortunately not. Its terrible nowadays. The chinese women started it and Carolina Marin from Spain brought it to the next level, she is the epitome of unsportsmanlike behaviour. I so miss the matches between Lin Dan and Lee Chong Wei.
