This may well be my favourite part of this build. I am storage crazy and always look for new ways of making space work for me. Like you, I also keep bumping my head when fitting something into a space. I love your creative ideas in making a space useful and great to live in.

Nice idea. I'm building a platform bed for my 5yo daughter and the side is going to be shelves or drawers, but I couldn't think of what to do with the end. I think I'll give something like this a try to store extra blankets/pillows for her to be able to quickly grab at night.

That certainly took advance planning. Using the top of the cabinet as part of the bed frame is a good use of space. Putting several of those side by side, and back to back would make for an excellent storage bed frame. But you may want to trim the height a bit.

Good morning, April! THAT is SO cool! What a great idea! I have always loved hidden compartments or storage spaces. It's always best to utilize every square inch when possible and this project proves that point. Very nice job! I really enjoyed this one. I can tell youre having alot of fun with this loft thing. Kinda like a clubhouse that youd want as a kid but inside your house. Its awesome and thanks for sharing!!
@@AprilWilkerson REALLY hard not to lust after those CNCs. I've got to get a reasonable set up for dados. Unfortunately that either means a new table saw or a really slick router set up. My gear is "worksite" grade big box stuff I wouldn't really trust for precision.
