I was surprised to see a fawn laying by itself under the Bush and grabbed a quick video before leaving it to rest in peace.

Beautiful moment! 🌝🌿🦌

@@soarornor The little one hung around for hours, even allowing me to visit with it out in the yard for awhile which I took advantage of without the distraction of trying to film it. Sometimes it's nice not to worry about filming and just enjoy the moment. I can't say I've seen a fawn hang around alone before, at least not while they are still so young, very cool!

@@wildlifeathome Yeah, that was a beautiful moment. Mine are coming around more too and checking me out. It’s pretty cool.

What a little Angel-Animal. Love those big ears and that alert & curious expression. A wonderful capture indeed !!

This was that lone fawn, I looked around thinking the mother must be nearby in one of her normal resting areas but never saw her. It seemed so unusual that I almost thought something must have happened to her until today when I saw them both together again. I think it is proof that mother animals can, and do, teach their young who is safe, not only in animals but people as well. Nicky taught Goldie who is now teaching this new one that the funny looking tall creature on two legs is harmless!😁❤

You are absolutely right about animals teaching their little ones who is "good people" ! I'm so glad the fawn's Mother showed up unharmed. I've seen doe's "tell" their fawns to lay still in a safe spot, be it tall grass or under a thicket. And the communication is clearly understood for the fawn doesn't move ! Your videos beautifully showcase such incredible deer behavior. You have a very special channel !!

@@myfloridaourplanet.444 That's one thing about Nicky, I really didn't start hanging around her until she was around 5 or 6 years old and somehow she learned to trust me on her own, usually with a fawn in toe. The small herd we have around now I've know since they were born other than Tricky, I really don't know when or where she came from. Odds are she is one of Nickys fawns from a few years ago as she seems to know me better than I know her!

I can envision you having a chart with the lineage descriptions, photos & history of these Deer. Keep going and you'll need a chart as big as a wall !! Great idea, right ???🤩

@@myfloridaourplanet.444 That really is a great idea, I took many face shots that would work perfect! There have been so many deer through the years, hopefully most of them found new territories and not someone, or somethings food. Nicky alone had 15-25 offspring over her 13+ years!

They get so tucked up under there that if I walk from the other direction I can't see them until it's too late, then they pop up and startle me probably worse than I startle them!🤣😂❤
