In this week’s episode, Dr. Greene sits down with Colonel Mike Edmonson, former superintendent of the Louisiana State Police and the longest-serving superintendent in Louisiana's history.
Colonel Mike Edmonson served as the superintendent of the Louisiana State Police from January 2008 to March 2017. A native of Alexandria, he attended Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. Before leading the state police, Edmonson was known for his association with LSU football, where he headed security details for coaches like Nick Saban and Les Miles. In recognition of his distinguished career, he received the Buford Pusser National Law Enforcement Award in 2013 and the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA) Martha Irwin Award for Lifetime Achievement in Highway Safety.
Colonel Edmonson shares insights on his philosophy of "listening to learn," the inspiration behind his career in law enforcement, his experiences working alongside LSU football, and his thoughts on effective leadership.
