Beautiful watch. Could you do another video of this SBGW231 under natural light or the ‘golden hour’ before the sun sets? That brings out the best in any watch IMO!

Simplicity at its best. No need for words to describe an art. Just enjoy looking. A pleasure to see the bent minute and sec hands in macro. The rainbow-effect on the mechanism is amazing. Not considering the dome glass, it's only about 10mm+. Most of all, l feel real good wearing it.

Absolutely spot on. It’s really is superbly designed and finished, and yes Japanese art with the sword hands, perfect indices and the dial needs to be seen in the flesh. Thanks for watching!

@@watcherofwatches1969 yes I’m happy because the boutique Seiko near my house here in south of France, open after COVID confinement on Saturday All the shops are close here in France. I’m gonna go see the ultimate Grand Seiko and try her. I order yet a Seiko presage because I want have all the cocktail collection of presage. They are not an expensive watches but very well done and for put every day it’s enough in my line of work.

Really debating if I should upgrade to this watch from my Nomos Orion. The only thing holding me back is the thickness and price difference. I like my dress watches super thin (8mm on the Nomos). So this GS at 11.6mm, minus the crystal so more like 10mm, might still be a tad bit too thick for me. I’ll have to try it on in store first! The other thing is the price difference. I got my Nomos with the sapphire case back for $1500 vs somewhere around $3500 used for this GS. Is it worth the price jump? Does the quality jump match the price jump?
