Next to the old cellar hole a big tree had fallen years ago and we have not been Abe to metal detect the ground around it. So today we cleaned up all the brush and moved as much as we could and thetas stuff underneath. Metal detecting old places like this you really have to work them and hit every inch if you can. Relics and artifacts from the 1700s and 1800s are buried in the dirt and mixed in with all the nail iron. Old tools, spoons, knives, maybe coins and more can be found. With all the New England history we have these old homesites are where it is at.
