What the man was trying to say for those that dont get it concerning the angelic explanation is that, humans and physical objects are limited by gravity and therefore need a form of wing to counter gravity in order to fly or hang without strings. But angels are not physical and therefore are affected by the force of gravity. Just as smoke and electro magnetic forces dont need wings and same is the human spirit without the limitation of the body.
