I thought that too but I changed my mind after listening to the hunter alot. Also after relistening to every mastodon album, I think emperor of sand is the best, just beating out blood mountain. I know this is about the hunter but I had time since I last posted to listen to them all and emperor of sand is flawless.
I have listened to this once and I haven't listened to it since, I really didn't like it. I just felt it a little too strange and not very engaging. I prefer their other albums honestly
@@chris94931 honestly, I like them all. I even went back to this one and I thought it was alright. I really like Emperor of sand, Leviathan and Blood mountain. I did a ranking of their albums recently
