I saw a college production of it just yesterday and they were so buddy buddy and acting like those girls who go to brunch every Sunday to get away from their homes for a bit and shit talk. It was amazing.
Can we also appreciate “GeT tHeE tO a PhYcIaTrIsT” And “Goaheadnadkillyourmotherdontembarrasherkillyournothet.killing yourmoyheristhemercifulthingtodo.”
WAIT,, THERE'S STILL ALIVE PPL WHO LIKE FALSETTOS??? LIKE, WE ARE SO ROBBED OF THE CONTENT IN THIS FANDOM OMFG- (i mean, all falsettos is always robbed ://)
The part that always makes me tear up is when Marvin says “We’re just gonna skip that stage.” and Whizzer looks like he’s about to cry. The other part is when Mendel starts singing the slower version of Falsettoland and Marvin just starts sobbing into his hands. Oh and when Jason puts a chess piece on Whizzer’s grave.
fun fact he isnt singing an actual Torah verse, it's just a bunch of random Hebrew words and Torah quotes that William Finn remembered from his Hebrew school
GOD ME TOO BECAUSE THEY PICK OUT THE BEST OF THE LITTLE MOMENTS AND SOMETIMES IT'S THE SMALLEST THINGS (EVEN IF IT'S JUST SOMETHING VISUAL BUT WHEN LISTENING I REMEMBER IT) THAT GET ME
Akuhlgirl yesss whenever that happens in musicals, especially when they’re having an emotional moment all i can think about is how they’re singing into each other’s mouths lmaooo
i just wanted to say that i have 2 downloaded version of the Falsettos proshot. one of then is EHH quality and the audio is kinda weird (like the one thats uploaded to youtube) and the other one is good quality and perfect audio. the one on youtube is just ehhh quality. i guess the person here had the better version
I hadn't heard of this musical before clicking on this and I got confused at first because I was like "none of them are singing in falsetto...." Then after a minute it hit me
Something I love in the chess game that you didn't include: When Whizzer starts singing "Whizzer's supposed to make the dinner..." etc and Marvin starts making gestures mocking him like "blah blah whatever you say" He's so childish!
Falsettos went so fucking hard. Best fucking cast for these roles no doubt (perfect vocals, perfect looks, perfect acting), three wholesome couples in different forms, wholesome father-son, mother-son and stepfather/s-son relationships, wholesome friendships between men and women, fun and gorgeous but absolutely fucking heartbreaking. They fucking did that.
You can tell during "What Would I Do?" it's Christian and Andrew singing to each other- it's so nice to see such a close friendship. You can tell everyone in the Falsettos cast are just such good friends and loved their time on Falsettos together.
Ik this is super later, but I think they filmed close ups separately, and it seems like they might not have used mics when they did the close ups, which is why you can sometime see the mics and sometimes not
This video is FUELING me right now, thank you so much. The entire cast is so vocally impressive, the music in falsettos is hard to sing and yet they sound so amazing, going full voice the entire time while still giving the acting their full energy. Such an underrated cast❤️
it just hit me that when Jason is describing the bar mitzvah as upsetting and it not being a funeral, that in the end it DOES become a funeral (in a way)
When I finished falsettos for the first time, I swear, I cried for a solid 20 minutes before recomposing myself. Let's just say I trusted the dialogue too much :(
when you click on a video called underappreciated moments in falsettos thinking it was a video full of people singing in their falsettos with a weirdly worded title only to find out it's clips from the musical Falsettos smh
i was SCREAMING in my kitchen eating my food at the end cause it just always makes me sad and my parents are like HoW aRe yOu sAd YoU hAVe wAtChEd oVeR aNd OveR aGaiN!
