Yeah it grinds me when the big brass come and rain fire on someone who isn’t doing their job well (even if they’re horrible, you have the responsibility to treat them with respect and try understand their perspective). I’m very happy with this outcome and it’s exactly what I said when I saw Blaze, he’s not a bad worker, just in the wrong position. I hope he treats others as he has been treated 😊
The way that this boss managed his employee was exceptional. No knee-jerk reactions, just a willingness to help and an understanding that what’s on the surface probably is only part of a much bigger story.
You really can’t blame this guy until you’ve had a customer service job. Depending on the clientele it can reeeeeaaalllly chip away at your soul. And some people just aren’t a good fit for that sort of thing even if the customers are mostly nice. I give major props to this company. They could have just fired him, but instead they found him a position where he thrives! Guess I know where I’m buying candles at from now on!
Of course they're not going to fire the guy! 1, because you can't blame him and 2, he seems pretty smart. You don't run a successful business very long if you ditch smart people too often.
I worked retail, and I never once thought about punching and strangling a kid, he needs professional help with his anger problem. The boss was very kind to move him to a new area but if I was boss I would see that as a major red flag that he is unstable. I used to work in a fitting room and kids would run up and down the hallway or their parents would leave them up there with me and ask me to watch them, and I didn't find it hard at all. Some people are just not kid people I get it. I think for a job like that they need more kid friendly people and not some person they hired in, he could of been a stocker or a front end person.
@@TheAnimekitty013 when did you work retail? Back in the 80s or 90s? Kids are different now. There are a lot of legitimate reasons for the current teacher shortage and it's only going to get worse.
This is the best situation, the fact he's happy and does something that he can be passionate about and do a bit of graft over goes to show how caring his CEO was
Some people just work better alone, I know I do! I'm a delivery driver and I spend up to ten hours a day in my van alone and I love it! I can listen to the music I want, turn the A/C as high or low as I want and most of the people I deliver to are at work or school during the day so I don't have to talk to anybody!
Me too dude, I'm a field tech and I can do almost whatever I want and nobody is around constant silence accept for my motor running.... peaceful work space.
I lean that direction. It really depends on the co-workers though. There's nothing better than working with a competent team where everyone does their part and everything just falls into place and just works, almost effortlessly. I've been on teams where I hated the politics of my co-workers but respected their competence. I have also worked in teams where people were idiots. Nothing pisses me off more than having to do my job, someone else's because they can't, and fight them every step of the way.
@@EnthalpyAndEntropy Working well with a team that are team players and are able to get on with the job makes the day go quick. I too prefer working on my own so i can do my own thing without anyone trying to reprimand me for stupid reasons.
I feel that my man, also a delivery driver myself i can be out n about just drop in n deliver their items and off i go. It's a good job and it helps that the pay is decent.
@@mannyescamilla716 Last I checked, pretty good. Got married this year. Into MMA stuff now (totally not scrawny anymore) and seems to be doing decent. I need to ping him and his brother tbh and say hi.
They should not have deleted this scene as it shows a resolution. I'm like him. I'll say the most outlandish things about customers but it's only to blow off steam. The people that are violent are usually the ones that don't talk about it. But him, frustrated with customers, guy would be snapped like a twig and he knows it. That's where you get the snide comments.
The guy was honest and that’s what it’s all about. Told him it’s a pay check and that exactly what it is. He’s not the one coining it in. I don’t blame the guy. In fact I admire it
He didn’t have any issues with the Yankee Candle company after all. He just wasn’t a people person and shouldn’t have been working at the flagship store. He’s a technical person not a sales personality. The CEO at least realized this and didn’t try to force the guy into a position he wasn’t a good fit.
At a store i was at a customer wants me to return and item without a gift respect and flex she shops here a lot . And it was a controller for PS4 or PS5 it was having issued . Not a big deal to ask the person to send you a new receipt . But she wanted me to give her one for free .
Must be nice wen u can talk dump about the customers and get a higher position in the company. That's shows you the ceo feels the same way about his customers
He prolly felt compelled to say that since they recorded him saying he wanted to smack crying kids, which we can ALL relate to, just haven’t been recorded undercover and having it nationally televised
It was better that the boss adjusted the work environment for him than to punish him for being open about his thoughts. There's a lot of people going around thinking all sorts of crazy shit in their mind. If we were to punish people for talking about their bad thoughts then they would all keep quiet until one day they just do whatever messed up thing their mind is telling them to. It's much better to know and try to prevent it from happening, at least i think so.
@@CarolineBelieber I totally 100% agree with you, people do things that pissed me off but I never acted out, because I knew it was wrong, I adjusted my work environment and now I'm happy. That's why he is a CEO because he is smart and can read people. You can't just be going around pointing fingers and firing employees that's is not a healthy environment.
