I loved the series 2. I know it was completely different than series 1. But the way they have shown the horse riding ranch, country music dixie loving culture is just amazing whilst keeping it terse. Wim Willaert as Laurent Berger was superb in acting. You feel empathy for that bloke. I also think not having fully continuation of series 1 makes sense. The series title is "Undercover". You can't have same agents as undercover for the same villians again as that wouldn't make sense at all. Or they would have to use the same old storyline we see everywhere like villian escpaes from series 1 and now the agents are going to get him again as real cops now instead of undercover but that would require the storyline completely different than the theme of the series which is "undercover". I do feel bringing in some elements of Series 1 into the Series 2 to thicken the storyline and have it a fresh go for the agents in a completely different country western theme turned out to be well. Remember, the Series 1 was different in a way it was in a campground site. Not a typical European Bourne Identity kind of style.
In order for the audience to get interested and invested in character developments, you have to a continuing connection per season. Season 2 is like a totally different series.
Season 3 has been the best season of this series so far, you should definitely do a review on it, you won't regret. It keeps surprising every episode and has some insane plotlines that make perfect sense but still make you question everything that happened until then.
Agree completely. Also, this daughters of cops/detectives making things difficult has become too much of a cliche. Wisting, Bordertown, Valhalla, this one. It's beginning to irritate me. Seems very forced.
Talk about Worst Parent of the Year. How her daughter manages to GET the opportunities to access "Undercover" Police Files and access to Names and Addresses to the Criminals her Father put away is beyond reckless. And a MAJOR Plot Hole. The Kids deserved 2 scenes at MOST. Getting in the Police Car...and Driving away to Witness Protection 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂

I'm surprised you have Money Heist Reviews...but not other TV shows outside Euro TV. Could you review El Robo Del Siglo (The Great Heist) TV series... the Narcos Series INCLUDING El Candidato... Vis-A-Vis.. And what do you think about Top Boy...

Thanks. Yeah, although Belgians and other Europeans do get right into various American styles and genres. I mean look at Kaleo... an Icelandic blues and roots band. But yeah... this series just didn't have what the first one had.
I dunno, I'm stalled at episode 4 or 5 and I haven't been tempted to watch it since. Without a spoiler here, let's just say that the two most interesting relationships of S1, which could have been explored further, became, ummmmm.... impossible to develop after what happened in Ep. 1 of S2, and I admit, I'm kinda pissed off about that.
Review Riot Police, probably best Spanish series ever, and one of the best this year. Not shity thriller like Money Heist looking to impress with cheap narrative, serious thriller talking here.
Really disappointed the decisions made by the producers and writers for Season 2. And the daughter is so annoying, and..... and...... Oh well. The villains, as far as I am concerned, are more annoying than threatening, and, yes, that whole European country western scene has shown up in some pretty good films and series but this is not one of them.
Looking back, I think my biggest disappointment with this season was that it didn't feel like a continuation of the first season. While it did include some elements of that, it just didn't _feel_ like the same show. To make an unfair comparison to The Wire; in the Wire you know you're watching the same show through all 5 seasons even though there are like 30 new characters by the end of it.
I wouldn't have guessed the WESTERN turn either. I kept wondering if it was a FEEBLE attempt to capture a more Western, or AMERICAN, audience. They could've kept it at the Ranch and Farm Clothes. Instead, they added the Country MUSIC, the Line Dancing, heavy Bar Drinking, etc. They REALLY delved into the Culture 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
