A few things - 1. Dramatis and delegation leaders don't get a free starting skill if they keep their rules and weapons. That's an outcast gang leader feature so they would only get it if they swapped. 2. If you pick a house then you get access to their weapons and wargear, not their gang fighters. 3. If you replace the starting weapons and stats of a delegation or Dramatis personae then you have to replace the lot of them. It's not an and/or option for picking and choosing.
OK maybe I'm missing something obvious but the Xenos Delaque gang confuses me. Where are you getting the Nacht-ghuls and Psy-gheists from? A Clan House Affiliation allows you to purchase Weapons and Wargear from that clan house's Equipment list (P20, Book of the Outcast) - not champions or prospects. and you mention the Xenos trait but where's that coming from?
They're from the different rule books. The xenos trait is from the Book of Ruin, and from my interpretation of the House Affiliated Outcast rules, you can hire fighters from the house lists too.

Going to have to disagree with you on both points I'm afraid: Genestealer infested gangs have to belong to one of the Six Houses (Page 12, Book of Ruin) and House Affiliated Outlaw gangs count as a member of the House *For any Scenario or campaign purposes* (pg 20, Book of the Outcast) - not for gang composition or creation. and as stated, House Affiliated gangs only gain the Weapons and Equipment of their house (pg20 again) - not the ganger options. I do not believe the rules support your interpretation, while the concept is very cool, if you're going to house rule combos like this it should probably be noted in the video in future
Another thing about House Ty: The affiliation allows you to take Bolters on your scum. That's right, you're fielding guys with Bolters for 85 credits a pop.
I really love your video. For Necromunda i think there is before Book of Outcast and after. It's like in the 90's when you go from Necromunda to Outlander. I keep finding amusing weird stuff in that book like a mecha archnid outcast leader and several Star Wars inspired leaders.
Useful vid but it'd be so much easier to follow if you put the gang list first and then talked about the fire team tactics for each of the gang builds!
I am not aware of any apps for Outcasts, or for Necromunda outside of Yaktribe, for that matter :D. I just use pencil, paper, and calculator and use a Spreadsheet to make the rosters!
Phenomenal stuff! Really digging the Cold Trader list & the Xenos Delaque list. I honestly didnt rate the Book of the Outcast first but after reading some reviews it is fast becoming my favorite product in the Necromunda line. Dramatis Personae gangs are wild. I keep wanting to do one with the Van Saar D.Va who starts in an Arachni-rig for three hundo creds.

Necromunda beginner here. Question about the Corpse Harvesting Party. I want to start with those guys because they looks so cool! - How did you get access to that Nurgle thing? - How did you get access to the Plasma Gun in a starting roster?
1. You can decide whenever you want to dedicate your gang to a chaos God. 2. I though a plasma gun was an 8, but it's a 9 in rarity, so just substitute with a grenade launcher.
I like the Nurgle corpse list, should be pretty fun to build. The list with the Abomination was a fun concept but unfortunately the Abomination can only do certain actions and manifesting powers is not on the list.
@@CommanderCheapSkate is there something in those rules that overrides the ”Formless Nightmare” special rule of the Abomination? Also where do you figure out he is a Spawn in regards to the Helot spawn rules?

One thing about your first list: By changing a Dramatis Personae's equipment and/or skills at recruitment, you will lose their original equipment (which unless it's one of a kind stuff or too rare, you can just buy back) and skills. So Hagar wouldn't have Overseer in your list
Not from the way that I interpret the rules. From the way that I see it, you can choose either if you'd prefer. Besides, realistically, I doubt that a character would automatically lose all of their weapons, equipment, etc because they thought it would be cool to purchase dumdum rounds...
Book of the Outcast, page 27, Elevating a fighter to leader status, point 2: "The fighter retains any skills, equipment or special rules they might have. Alternatively, you can replace their skills and equipment with those avaiable to an Outcast Leader." Good point, that could be read both ways. As for skills, it would be nice to get clarification on whether an elevated fighter gets a skill from their chosen archetype as the starting skill when recruited, or if their innate skills (like Hagar's Overseer) count as their starting skill, with the archetype merely giving access to skills gained via levelling, not unlike on a Specialist.

@@dentegra9132 You do tend to pay a lot of credits for some of the models. Which I think is factoring in the skills they have. So it should in theory be balanced. Ish. As much as GW bothers to balance anything. :D
I had this idea for a outcast gang that is affiliated with a noble house. I don't have the books yet but can you think of any fun rules that could come out of that? I'm like, brand new to necromunda lol. My buddies are advising against outcasts saying they are not very good but i like their style.

Do you think it's possible to take the gear from a master charlatan on your champions and leader if you play as the criminal impersonators faction but don't take a Charlatan as leader? It kind of reads like you can as it says you can purchase gear of any legality and rarity, but it then goes on to say from the trade post and doesn't mention black market. There's nothing illegal in the trade post normally is there? Sticking a falsehood on an infiltrating champion with combat shotgun could be brutal.
I say yes you can, after all you're an Outcast Criminal Organization. My interpretation would be: your gang got kicked out of the Syndicate, but you still have your contacts. Of course, the "Balance Bandits" would say that you can't. I would talk to your arbitrator to see how they feel about it. If you are your own arbitrator, than have at it :D Hopes this helps!
Heya I was reading through Book of Outcasts p20 then asked around if it's possible to get psychic familiars on champions, but Book of Ruin says only the leader can take max of 3 of them. Nothing about champions :O How did you add these, or am I still missing some rules?
I'm in the process of converting the Kill Team Elucidian Starstriders models plus a box of the Outcasts into a Cold Trader themed criminal gang (has the added benefit of also working as a Rebel Lord gang). Getting some sling guns for cheap potent short range firepower (not as good as bolters but they have a certain cool factor and are thematic if you take the psyker template) and Void Born scum are /amazing/ with just the addition of a chainsword or flail. That strength & toughness 5 plus 3 wounds each make for a really beefy front line. The bosun is a bit meh for a champion slot but it all evens out in the end. His low strength isn't really relevant if you skill up for shooting.
That sounds amazing! Those Rogue Traders would definitely make an amazing Cold Traders gang! I regret not getting that box myself, the minis alone was worth it. May your gang rain Xenos laden fire upon your enemies!
@@CommanderCheapSkate It only just occurred to me that the Bosun has a fantastic willpower stat. Making him perfect as a psyker champion. Which you cover in the video but I totally blanked on until I rewatched the Shore party list you came up with for ideas.
i have the book of outcasts arriving tomorrow, i had no idea there was so much cool things you could do in it, i just like having the books. im deffo gunna be playing around with a syponing delegation gang now tho
@@CommanderCheapSkate the real handy thing for me is my game group is only 3 ppl who i can play regular with so we usually play 1 off games with slightly bigger gangs, this book is gunna let us use all the extra minis that we wouldn't normally be able to use because we don't play campaigns
@@Ottakazi Make your Champions lead fire teams of scum within 3" of them. This way they can benefit from the Champion's 7+ Cool. Not perfect, but better than nothing!
Dramatis personae are already ore made, they're in the various books published so far. Think of them as special characters from Warhammer or Warhammer 40k.
