Just ordered one for our new Shaws fireclay undermount sink. These sinks are notoriously heavy and handmade (i.e. uneven) and this seems like the perfect solution that will also save us space under the sink for our water filtration system. Great work coming up with a brilliant solution.

LIFESAVER! Original installer used 2x2's and 2x4's and after 2 hours of monkeying with my double bowl fireclay sink they could not get the sink positioned properly. In fact, the sink was a little bit above the top of the cabinets so I knew the counter top crew would not be able to do their job. By chance Pete lives about an hour away. It was a Saturday afternoon when I called him and he came to help me out. It took about 5 minutes to remove the wood that was screwed in from the installer and another 15 minutes for Pete to install the mounting kit and get the sink exactly where it needed to go. I could not believe how easy it was. Too bad my remodeler wasted over 2 hours on this but luckily Pete helped me out!
i used this for a kohler whitehaven sink as the brackets that came with it were a joke. Pete's kit is very nicely engineered, saved me time and hassle, and lived up to its advertisement. I am impressed!
Brilliant! I found this here on youtube then looked at the sinkmount.com website. I have a 10 year old home and my stainless sink was coming un-glued from the granite. I called Pete and he recommended "1/2" a kit. My drain is towards the back so we purchased half a kit and installed it in the middle of the sink. My husband ended up lowering the sink to get all the old glue cleaned off then we put it back up into place and held it with a couple vertical 2x4s like jacks then installed the two brackets, put on the rail, screwed it up into position and removed the 2x4s! This sink will never come down now!! Buy and install this and avoid hiring a contractor who will charge WAY more and not do near as good a job. Thanks Pete!!!
Installation was a breeze due to the sink support, alignment was very simple and raising the sink was easy. My installer commented how easy his countertop installation was due to the sink support. Plenty of room to maneuver using the sink support, awesome product! Thank you for your help.

We finished our kitchen remodel last week and the sink mount kit made the installation of the Kohler Whitehaven farm house sink a snap. I was able to it myself without any problems. While it is more expensive than using wood to support the sinks weight, as the picture of the area under the counter shows we lost no cupboard space with your kit. My daughter is redoing her kitchen and I am certain she will be using your product. It undoubtedly deserves 5 ⭐️.

Pete saved Thanksgiving!!! None of our contractors knew what to do or wanted to figure out the installation of our shaws fireclay sink. Ordered Petes kit Monday, got it Tuesday, installed sink myself and used a temporary plywood "countertop" to survive Thanksgiving. Stone guys came Monday after Thanksgiving to make template an were very happy with the sink placement. Beware - fireclay sinks are imperfect and take fine tuning to get positioned properly and this made it really easy. Looking forward to stone arrival so I can be done with this kitchen project : )
My sink mount kit arrived last Friday just like you said. I installed my farm sink on Saturday. This kit was easy to install and does exactly what it supposed to do.... making final adjustments a breeze. I could never have accomplished the precision adjustments needed with a plywood shelve like I was planning on building. So glad I ran across your vid on youtube. The sink mount kit is a life saver and the only way to install a farm sink.
My dad and I installed the Kohler Whitehaven sink today (to heavy to do on my own). It took me about 30 min of work to set the brackets yesterday and 15 minutes (or less) for the sink today. It has been up all day and the ease of adjusting the height of the sink (with out in and out/up and down) makes your product worth every penny! Thanks for a great product. Looking forward to sharing it with my contractor friends!

Sweet! Ordered Thursday morning, got it Friday afternoon (I live in Renton, Wa so I'm pretty close). Installed a Rohl (shaws) fireclay sink on Saturday. Took me about 30 minutes as I was being very careful with measurements but instructions are actually pretty good. Definitley not a square sink so this was awesome for getting the sink aligned as good as it could be. All ready for templating tomorrow! I already hooked up my disposal and drain plumbing and used a piece of plywood to make a make shift countertop and mounted a cheap faucet I had in my shop (I have rental properties and a few extra parts around) so we can run the dishwasher and do dishes : ). I'll disconnect the faucet and take off the countertop in the morning before the stone guys get here to make the template, them put it back on for the couple weeks until my countertop and backsplash are installed : ) Worth every penny for me.
The brackets worked really well. When the countertop installers showed up they showed me that the counters weren’t level across the whole width and needed shimming on the low end. The sink being in the middle was then too low even though it was the right height for just that cabinet and in spite of the counters being templated. We undid some screws and raised the sink to the new height in about 20 minutes Gotta love adjustability! Thanks for your product, it was well built and did exactly what we needed.
Thanks Pete. My granite sink weighed 325 lbs and this thing made it easy. I started about 3/16" above the cabinet top and lowered each corner down until it was just right. It took me about 30 minutes to do everything and I was done and waiting for the granite guys to show up and template. They thought it was pretty cool too. KW
Great product! I have used 2x's in the past and this is much easier and faster to place the sink properly. Actual brackets are newer version than what you see here and are easier to use and allow more space for sink. I had less than 1/2" clearance on each side of sink and it was no problem at all. Kit shipped same day and arrived with no issues. Highly recommended. Danny
I have used the original version shown in the old video and also this version which is great! Now I can install a 33" sink into a 36" base cabinet where I had to use 30" sinks with Pete's old version. I flip houses and use this 1-2 times per month. Outstanding device and without question the easiest way to install the rimless fireclay sinks!!! Keep up the good work Pete! Al
Sink install went very well…. initially thought it was a bit pricey but cheaper than my contractor and a better, more accurate install….. its worth it and 1000X better than alternatives or poor 2x4 solutions…. highly recommend.... great customer service too

Excellent product that probably saved me well over $1,000. My Shaws Original fireclay sink was crazing really bad. Sink is covered under warranty but not the replacement nightmare. I was not about to remove my countertop which would have been a major undertaking. I removed the piece of trim wood finishing the front of the sink then had to disassemble the wood that held the sink in position - what a pain. Then we got the sink down. I installed the sink mount then pushed the replacement sink in from the front. I had over an inch of space to install the sink from the front then just used a screwdriver to crank up each of the four brackets until the sink was in the right position. I could not imagine having to hold the sink up in position and build some hokie wood bracing around it, plus I'm glad there are no more 2x4s and plywood taking up space in the cabinet. If you are familiar with fireclay sinks, they are not identical. Adjustability of the sink mount was excellent but I had to get a new front trim piece made because the unique irregularity of the new sink is different from the original sink. It was also shocking to see just how nasty the plywood support got after 7 years from what must have been a tiny leak but it explains the musty smell we could not get rid of from the cabinet. I still love the fireclay sinks but wish the original install was also with the sink mount. If you are installing any kind of undermount sink do your self a favor and use Pete's kit. worth every penny and may save you even more down the road. J.Dodd

Hello Pete, I have never written a review in my life but felt compelled to write one on your sink mount. I had my farm house sink mounted in less than 45 minutes and that includes cutting the face panel. I was able to mount It flush with 100% accuracy. The person who came to measure for the countertop even commented on how level it was. It works just as you promised and the quality of the material was great. Ordered on Monday, received on Wednesday via ground shipping (I'm in So Cal) and installed on Thursday morning. Piece of cake. I had reviewed the instructions from the website so I was all ready to go. Took me about 20 minutes. 120 lb Shaws Original. Template guys don't show up until Monday to do the template but I put a piece of plywood in place as a temp countertop and installed a cheap faucet I got from HD on Friday night. I have a functional sink right now! I'll just pop off the plywood on Monday for the template then put it back on. This is awesome! My friends who have installed similar are envious. They were stuck waiting on contractors jerking them around for weeks without a kitchen sink to use.
UPDATE - I have now used 4 of these kits since my original posting!! Pete emailed and told me he had the new video done and asked if I would repost - more than happy to! I used this for one of my kitchen remodel and it saved me an entire day on the schedule. I only use undermount sinks (I'm partial to Rohl fire clay) and now I can install the sink in the morning and then have the countertop crew come in right after to make the template and I don't have to wait for the sink to dry into position. One of the countertops came back slightly off and we were able to easily move the sink slightly - pure genius but most important I save an entire day! Thanks for getting these to me so quick Pete. Liam, your comment caught my eye, as we are getting new sink and countertop and purchasing Rohl Fireclay sink and undermounted and i'm very worried about our kitchen cabinet that it will be installed in, as it is a corner cabinet with weird angles and am hoping this will be supported somehow. I haven't checked out this website yet, but am assuming there are supports to purchase if the sink goes into a corner cabinet, in front of two windows. I'm assuming that there is always a need for these Rohl fireclay sinks to be supported? I'm clueless.. right now we have an older Moenstone sink that will be replaced. Any help would be greatly appreciated..thanks
Thank you Pete! Fast shipping, great communication and the install went great. I looked at all the videos and your parts looked the best. This definitely saved me labor time to install. The plumber was really impressed by this too and he liked the extra room it gave him. Homeowner is very happy with how it looks too. These new brackets are smaller and less noticeable. Only need a #3 philips screwdriver for the install (besides the scissors to cut the foam strips). I will be using this on all my future projects. Highly recommended! Doug S.

Contractor wanted to charge me $400 to fabricate a support out of wood and metal and it was going to take too long. We live in a small city in Colorado (less than 10K people). We have several plumbers but when we remodeled our kitchen only 1 of them agreed to mount our 36" undermount farm sink. He was going to charge us $420 and then asked me to provide him with instructions on how to mount it because he had never actually installed one. We opted to install it ourselves and found Pete\'s Sink Mount on the internet. We were able to get one shipped very quickly and the cost was well under what we would have paid the plumber. We could not be happier. It was a breeze to install. The instructions were clear, short, incredibly user friendly. The installation of the bracket took us about 30 minutes. Should be a must have for all plumbers and contractors that do this work and even a beginner DIYer can install this easily.

This thing is great! My contractors told me not to get it. I think they wanted to charge me more for the way they wanted to install my sink and I did not want to see two by four wood under my cabinet. They wanted to build what looked like a table under my cabinet! I showed this to my mechanical engineer friend and he said "Get it!". He designs bridges and was very impressed with this. Pete was also very nice and helpful to work with.
That's good to know,.....I'm getting ready for a kitchen counter and sink remodel and I was not familiar with how an undermount sink was held in place besides glue?????!!!!
Hi - if you have a lightweight stainless sink and the drain is in the back you can use "1/2" a kit to hold that kind of sink in place. Lightweight stainless sinks that are held in place with adhesive WILL fail over time. Using a "1/2" kit is common for the new installation and also very common for resolving sinks that fell. Just shoot me an email via the website or give me a call and I'll be happy to help you out. Heavy sinks that have the drain in the back, like a Kohler Whitehaven sink, will need the regular kit as it would be extremely difficult to balance the heavy sink on 1 support rail. (note: Kohler Whitehaven sinks have "feet" on the bottom of the sink and are an easy install with the Sink Mount kit. I have pics of this if anyone wants to see)
I've used the kit several times since my last post and was just as favorably impressed. Nothing beats filling the gap between sink flange and stone bottom, then dialing up the Pesimoki for perfect silicone squeeze-out. For heavy sinks it's a must-have-no brainer.
In addition to a great way to mount your sink the shipping was fast. Very easy transaction and installation. Stone guys loved it but not so sure about the cabinet guys because they did not get to drive up their cost by installing some ridiculous supports from 2 by 4s and plywood that would have looked bad but cost me more than this kit! AND they were not very confident that what they were doing would that good. Save your time and money and use this.

I used it to fix the crappy job done by my home builder who glued my stainless sink to the granite counter top. Can't believe how poorly they build homes these days. Do they really think some kind a spaceage glue is goin hold up a sink that has a disposal vibrating like crazy and lots a weight from stuff? Use one of these things and the sink ain't going knowwhere! Billy Jo
At 3:20 you say the sink should be installed one quarter inch "above" the top of the cabinet. That doesn't sound right. The counter top will then teeter on top of the sink and not be flush with the top of the cabinet. Do you quarter inch shim the counter top every where else? Or did you mean a quarter inch below the top of the cabinet? If I can't get this figured out I will buy a year's supply of Jim Bakers apocalypse food buckets and go into hiding!
Hi - great question. Yes, start with the sink a little bit higher than the final position. It is easier to lower the sink 1/4" than to raise it over 1". At 3:27 I state that you then use the #3 philips screwdriver to lower the sink into the proper position. You will see I have the straight edge across the sink as I lower it into the proper position so the top of the sink is now flush with the top of the cabinets so the countertop template can be made. The countertop team will ensure the sink is NOT sticking up above the cabinet plane at all. If anything, it is better to end up with the sink slightly lower than the cabinet tops (maybe 1/32") for templating. By starting slightly high and lowering the sink you still have about 1" you can lower the sink if you ever had to adjust something or potentially pull it out (fireclay sinks can crack, chip, etc. and this make it easy to lower the sink and remove it if necessary). THIS WILL NOT WORK WITH ANYTHING OTHER THAN SOLID WOOD SIDE PANELS. Don’t get me wrong it’s a great idea. This would of been great 2 decades ago when cabinets were made of actual out of wood. Now a days the material is cheap ply or a MDO. This is only as good as the screws into the side of the cabinets. To me that’s a 3/4” screw into a material that’s not structurally sound to hold the load. Especially since farm house sinks can weigh over 100lbs. You could thru bolt the clips but once again it’s just the ugly bolt as the support. Just saying. Great for the blow and go contractor!
Hi - it actually works quite well in both MDO and MDF (plenty of Ikea cabinet users) Of course MDO is stronger although lighter compared to MDF. I have even had people install this in KraftMaid cabinets with CoreGuard which is about a 1/8" thick plastic. Like any project requiring screws it is best to pre-drill the cabinet wall with the correct size drill bit for the screw (called out in the instructions) so you do not blow out the material. Since all the weight is sheer weight there is nothing pulling on the screws. The screw could be 1/2" long, 6" long or even through bolted and it won't matter. When the kit is in position and everything is tight it is incredibly strong and makes the cabinet far more rigid so nothing is causing the screws to enlarge the holes. Furthermore the weight is distributed quite well across the entire kit so there is less weigh on each bracket, and therefore each screw. It is easy to break an MDF shelf horizontally but the side walls are actually quite robust when weight is applied vertically.
Dazzanw: Pesimoki is far superior to clips which attach to the underside of granite. Those things leak like crazy; I've replaced hundreds. You could jump up and down on the Pesimoki; it's going nowhere. Strap your sinks or Pesimoki only.
I was ordered this kit to need very urgent , so we paid 2 day shipping cost $ 38 .57. we need very early that day, but it delivered 3 business day . so we approved for refuse delivery from the Pete's Company and we refused delivery even we're not touched & opened box. BUT they charged 15% Restocking fee . I totally understand that charged shipping cost , BUT I don't understand to charge restocking fee for Not used & opened item . So terrible service.
That's why I cancelled your order. I placed order before 12PM on Friday , 2 day shipping means 2 business day . I expected delivery on Monday once I paid $38.57 for 2 day shipping . But you gave me a tracking information , it said ' will delivery around 8 pm on Tuesday ' . Anyway My issue is about 15% Restocking fee, not delivery charge. I totally understand that have to paid for shipping . But I couldn't accept to charge Restocking fee. You told me that you have to charge restocking fee for labor . I think that you misunderstanding 'Restocking fee' Restocking fee is for Restock , not labor. Some of Buyer couldn't do re -sell the reason why item broken or used or tested product , they charge for restocking fee. Shipping & handling means labor for shipping . I never touched your package once the fedex delivery guy came in honestly. Please make sure what is the issue about this problem .
I had to laugh when I read this unfounded complaint!! I always feel bad for sellers who gets stuck with a bogus complaint. If I ORDER something on a Friday (regardless of the time as long as it is before carrier pickup) and it is two business day delivery that means TUESDAY delivery, and potentially late in the day. Business days are Monday - Friday. NO carrier (Post Office, UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc.) will deliver anything faster if it is received before noon. Not only that but apparently you even sent an email to the seller stating you need it "...on next Tuesday" then every seller I know of will understand that orders placed on Friday, with two day delivery, will deliver to their customer on TUESDAY, NOT Monday. Additionally, just because you order something before noon do you expect the seller to automatically process it and have FedEx, UPS, etc. magically show up before noon to expedite your delivery? FedEx and UPS don't usually pick up packages until 3 or 4 pm and maybe even later. As a long time small business online seller myself Restocking fees are not only very common for online sellers but also for many brick and mortar outlets that sell auto parts, electrical parts, some plumbing parts and most specialty order types of items, and they must be returned unopened/unused. If you look at the rules for Amazon you will find that sellers are allowed to charge up to 20% restocking. eBay allows up to 15% restocking and many other websites do as well. Restocking is a process of reintegrating a product back in to stock. How is that done? Well this is apparently a surprise but it is a manual, human process. This means, you guessed it, Labor! Restocking fees are also typically NEEDED to help cover the cost of credit card fees for both the purchase and the refund of the product, which are probably in the neighborhood of 3% (4%+ for American Express which is why sellers don't like AMEX). Oh, and that % charge includes tax and shipping. Restocking fees are NOT for fixing a product that was broken or used/"tested". Hopefully some day consumers will be more educated about what it takes to manage a small business. It is far more labor intensive than most people understand. If people truly understood the process there may be less unfounded complaints, especially when the root cause of the issue appears to be the buyer, not the seller.
