Samesies with O Disambiguation, they were all feeling those end of songs breakdowns so much.

I love Erase Me, but I don’t feel like Matt Squire was a good fit for Underoath as a producer. They even said it themselves that Matt Goldman is one of the most important pieces of the Underoath sound. Would really like to see them get back with him for the next record.

@@theriffnotebook8412 I kinda agree. But something we need to take into account is who Underoath was when they made those records with Goldman. He was the right person at the time to see what they were trying to build. I think we can say producers are like navigators, where they help people find the right path to take given the end result they want. At those points in time what they wanted was different than with this last record. So it only makes sense that they had someone else help navigate the path. I don't think they should have Goldman on for a while, maybe in the future for a "classic" UO sound 5 albums from now. I'm definitely looking forward to who they decide to work with in the near future. I really hope its someone very different from anyone they've worked with in the past.

Squire fucking ruined that record, I just pretend it doesn’t exist and never happened. I know Aaron and Spencer just want to be a Paramore/BMTH pop band now but I pray they get a proper rock producer next time and all 6 of them write the music together to pick up where Disambiguation left off

If they've left Christianity, why are they even doing their Christian songs/albums anyway?

@@BigAlvideos101 I don't know- I think I'm glad they are though, so there's no mistake in what they intended and believe. It got more interesting when they had the lead singer from Copeland talking about their colab on "Some Will Seek Forgiveness", they had a lot to say about Christian pressures and spiritual muddiness in the scene at the time, that a lot of it was fake and performative. Very disappointing, but I should have never looked to young rockstars and musicians for spiritual direction in the first place.

@@wallboi7 I'm glad about that too- don't get me wrong, but since Spencer pretty much denounced his own faith, I'm kind of surprised he even agreed to it!

@@wallboi7 I've met all of these guys in real life several times. I'm on a first name basis with some of them. What I know is that some of the band did lose their faith, some are still devout Christians, and some are believers but not into organized religion anymore. Chris is still very religious if I recall. Spencer I know has said basically he was going through the drug problem and everyone shunned him rather than trying to get him help, and he slowly realized the Christian scene was kind of fake. I was an atheist for a long time, but I'm turning back towards Christianity, and I still understand Spencer's point of view. Remember the bible verses about vanity, and "showing off" your faith to look good to others? It's a sin. I feel like a lot of people in the Christian bands were like that. FWIW, while we don't hang out or text or anything, I'm on a first name basis with Spencer, and he is a very good guy. I do have to say though, as a "hail satan" metalhead teenager, hearing UO totally rock out and later in the set say "we stand here in the name of Jesus Christ" had a positive influence on me. I do miss that aspect.

No, only a couple of them. Most had left their faith behind well before they recorded Lost.
