Mr. Peterson & the Potato reboot in 2023: Mr. Peterson is withered and old like the potato he always hated. His strong independent daughter decides to take his place as the new hope to destroy the Wizard, and she is smarter and stronger and more awesome then he ever was but without any training or difficulty! Instead of destroying the Wizard she teaches him the error of his ways and it turns out he was never bad, he was just misunderstood! Then she finds the potato herself and she is the only one who can eat it, but instead she PLANTS it and ends world hunger!

I don’t think mr Peterson ever had any training either; the remake gets shit on a lot but there’s some value and heart to be had, after all, it’s impossible for everyone involved to not be a creative, whether or not executives get involved, there are still moments that have expression and fun, it’s always better to get something out of media, even if bad, than to decry it all as bad, and wish for a return to the originals. Never lose your sense of wonder
