In this lesson, you will learn what a frequency table is and how to construct a frequency table from raw data. We build a frequency table by tabulating how many times a specific data point occurs in the data and recording that number (frequency) in the table. The cumulative frequency is the running total of the frequencies recorded. The relative frequency tells us how often a specific data point occurs in the data set, as a percentage.

I like this since I worked as an AC tech and if you have an office building with several people in one area then the heavier people want it cooler and the thinner people want it warmer! I use to get calls all the time and one person would say it is too hot please turn it down and some other person would be shaking their head!

I'm taking a statistics course right now and I came here to get a better understanding because my professor was making it all look like a giant bowl of spaghetti. Whoever this teacher is is incredibly good. He is breaking the stuff down in ways that have never been digestible to me. So I don't know what you guys are talking about, this guy is a brilliant teacher. Also, when I studied more about fixed and growth mindset, that made it big difference for me going into my studies - I never thought I could ever comprehend things like this, but teachers like this are gold. Just felt compelled to say that.

So to clarify, relative frequency is the frequency dived by the total number sample size? example for relative frequency: Row 2 temp 69 it’s 4 divided 25 and for cumulative relative frequency would it be 5 divided by 25 instead ?
