Finally someone speaking the hard truth. I used to run to parents house everyday help them clean or host guests, I wasted my prime years on running around and they never once said focus on your life. Until I turned 35, I realised I didn't give enough time to my husband and my job. When I stopped going daily then they said I'm selfish.
at least you r 35..I am more older than you and I same waste my life ..to pleased parents and other...today I am in guilt for living life for the sake of other..and above a they are happy for putting me in such condition..
sach hai. Meri pathological lab thi. , to enta time nikal nahi pati. but I used my extra time in lab to study financial planning, Mutual funds & stocks . so I was called selfish . I was not in any gossip issues. but actually I am proud of myself because mere bacche aachi tarah se padhe., time pe shadi kari aur settle bhi hai.

Sir, there are people who call you when you are sick to say" take care aa" as if we don't know ,but expect us to run to them n look after them ba kaida if they are sick and when you do the same to them as they do ,they say " oh u r selfish"
Very well put....my MIL is like this...she always offer food, clothes to people with this sense of doing a favor...and then expect things in return...and always ruing dat people are selfish...

You are amazing sir, I was suffering with self guilt you have liberated me from that burden. I was thinking that thinking about ourself is selfishness and such a people you mentioned do exactly know how to capitalise such situation specially in the name of help and charity.

The more you give the more they will expect. At the last moment when you say no to them and people won't appreciate it. But people don't understand it, everybody's top priority is their own work and you don't know what is happening in another person's life. Might be he really need help but he is not asking for and you kept demanding from him/her. We all are self-centred but feel embarassed when someone refuse us to do something for us. Right we are selfish and expecting from other rather than solving our own mess ourselves.

Everyone is selfish, it is good to be selfish , give importance to your own priority ,but we should not be inhuman also because once u require someone's help others can also be selfish upto inhuman level if u never helped anyone .
Log ek to zabardasti kam karte hain! Time ki maang karte hain jisme ham bhi unki tareefe karein or hase unke sath... And agar ham kuch or direction me apni growth kar rahe hain (issey bhi jealousy hai inhe) and time nai de rae.. to kah dete hain... Ye Ahsan nai lena chahte na kisika! Bade log hain! Sir, I have been watching your videos for last couple of weeks and I do find valueable nuggets of gold in each of them. Maybe you have mentioned it in one of your videos but if you haven't please make videos on which health insurance to take for long term. I am stuck in my job and I want to quit it but I am still doing this job because of its (still) good medical reimbursement.
Please make a video on the below - it will help many people. I think you need to listen to your inner voice and intuition...It's an inbuilt GPS at birth... Personally almost always when I have gone against my inner voice thinking it is the best option available at the time... It has not resulted something good.... This comes from our Indian upbringing with a scarcity mindset and fright driven decisions...
