People voted for change in Karnataka, but nothing has changed. In fact it has gotten far worse in the last 10 months. The roads are in far worse condition in Bengaluru than before. SG either your team has done poor research or they are hiding some facts to help CM. The original land owner was Jawara a Dalit. Initially Muda notified this land for acquisition and paid 3.76 lakh to Jawara to acquire this land. Then I think in 98 this land was supposedly denotified. You changed the definition of denotifcation as land use change . Thats a new invention by Print to save the CM. During denotifcation Siddaramaih was the deputy CM. So this land for which 3.76L was paid was supposedky denotified again and then purchased by siddaramihs bil. So it’s not as simple as you are saying . As this is almost beamed in every news channel in Karnataka , either u have a very poor team in Karnataka or u/they have motives

Those who grab political power by identity politics or dynastic claims - will always be corrupt; had they not been they would not have resorted to such tactics of political hoodwinking. Having passion for the betterment of the demography of a nation especially if it is geographically broader (india as a nation), & tradition-wise deeper (Bharat as a civilization), replicating the spirit of freedom movement - with greater inclusivity, with an action program for transformation - then the politicians can be trusted. For being so much passionate one should have greater cohesive intellect driven by such s passion. That passion cannot be reduced to left-right ideologies. Instead it would have pragmatism. Unfortunately, those who vote for identity are already cheated. Parties using religion, language, caste, class, dynastic claims for power are frauds. We are electing people for pragmatic good governance - we are not electing any one for social reform. That is not the job of the elected government. Their job is governance of the economy & maintain law & order plus leading ahead of the nation. Their job is not about race, caste, religion, etc. Siddha hence cannot be good, so is Stalin and so is Rahul. People should have a comprehensive understanding to know this.

Shekhar ji, MUDA is notorious for encroaching private lands in Mysuru. The issue is not that Siddaramaiah got alternative land for the unlawful encroachment by MUDA, but why a govt agency was allowed to acquire private lands of farmers without notice. The govt agencies are becoming worse than land sharks in acquiring private land and there is no accountability. The issue is about justice to land owners against atrocities by the state. Not the other way. BJP has lost its focus on this issue while the common man of Karnataka knows that is happening. BJP has to fight for the rights of farmers whose land is unlawfully getting taken by agencies without proper acquisition procedures or compensation.

I do not think most people are surprised by scams or their vote is much influenced by scams. The bigger story is the impact "Five Guarantees" on the Karnataka economy. The question media should be asking is, why is Leader of opposition, who said poverty can be solved by "taka Tak" is quiet and NOT solve the problem of funding guarantees in Karnataka "taka tak" fashion. Rates of various house hold items like milk, stamp paper etc. all have gone up to fund guarantee, all development funds diverted to fulfill guarantees, now case of alleged misuse of funds meant for "ahinda" (vote bank of CM). there is even talk of raising bus ticket rates for "men" who already pay for tickets (it's free for women - one of the guarantees). It's surprising CM is caught in the land scandal given that mostly he has remained away from any scandal in all his political career. Also CM, in general in his past years as CM, has been relatively managing Finance well, though this term is horrible given the 5 guarantees promised by the first family.

Shekhar Ji: Yes, Within Karnataka, the Development Authority has been notorious about land grabbing by mentioning that the land belongs to Government even though it is citizens / individual property. Bengaluru Development Authority has done that and been doing for long time with fake survey reports and come with large police force. Once the land is grabbed they allocate the land among the authorities and politicians.

The land was acquired by the government around 1995, denotified in 1998, but sites had been formed by the government on the denotified land and allotted. Land was purchased by Siddramiah's brother in law in 2004 as agricultural land, when in fact sites and parks had already been formed in that layout. How was this not noticed. Then he applied for conversion and the authorities permitted the same. Why did they not notice that it was no longer an agricultural land. Also 50 -50 is totally misunderstood by Shekhar. If you have one acre that is about 44000 square feet, 50% of that is taken for civics amenities ( roads, parks etc), is 22000 square feet is for that purpose, of the remaining 22000 square feet 50-50 is done, that is 11000 square feet to the government and 11000 square feet to the owner. This is 50-50 scheme, not what Mr. Gupta wants us to believe. He should first do a proper research. Could go on and on. Appears he is totally cluttered. Many more faults in this article.

The money was transferred to the accounts of unknown and unheard of companies’ accounts in Telangana at the height of Lok Sabha election campaign. The allegation is that the corporation’s money was used to fund congress election campaign in Telangana. In the bargain, money was also transferred to several individuals who were close to the minister Nagendra. It is said that when the lion feeds, it also leaves something for the jackals. The minister’s wife Manjula is also a beneficiary.

No Mr Gupta you are hiding the main issue. The said land that Mr. Siddaramaya's brother in law claims to own is not his land as per available land records. The said land was acquired by Mysore urban development authority in 1998 when Mr siddaramaya was the deputy chief minister of Karnataka. The layout was completed by the year 2004 and sites were allocated to individuals from 2004 onwards. After a layout is formed and sites are allocated to individuals can such a land be denotifcation? It's not just Mr siddaramaya but leaders from JDS party and BJP who have been allocated sites based on fabricated documents. Why is the siddaramaya government withholding the FSL report of the alleged Prajval Revanna videos? Cronie capitalists and corrupt government officials have tried to tarnish the image of Mr H D Revanna's family by using fabricated and doctored videos of Mr H D Revanna's sons.
