I really like your intro MOOSE!! ....Great video on the changes between 2023 and 2024.....Glad your helping others navigate the CAM AM Spyder controls!!!
@@PSPTommyG thx TommyG. Hottest day of the year here and I’m a little under the weather otherwise I’d be filming install stuff but the 24 dash is worth the difference from the old BRP Go in my mind.
@@DFWMoose I totally agree!!! CanAM needed the update on the dash for several reasons...I like it PLUS the format on shifting into reverse now...Sooo much easier!!
@@PSPTommyG agreed and to clear the safety reminder you don’t need to wait for the screen. You can clockwise turn the throttle once the the screen starts it’s sequence
Thx. The dash is much more complicated then the BRP Go on the earlier versions because of the joystick forced you to step through in a liner fashion. The new dash you can jump screens and menus missing something. I’ll have to get educated on all of the various options
@@motobc2251 welcome aboard and thanks for subbing. Make sure you check out @purpleonthree and @coachbob3 I do requests and I have some installation videos coming soon.
New subscriber Moose, on process of going through the buying process within a year or less. New rider in Texas and looking forward to getting out there and getting some wind therapy.
@@WolfRyder13 great. Thx for the comment and subscribing. I’m currently in the DFW area but moving in 60 days or so down towards my daughter. Let me know if I can help. Dfwspydermoose@gmail.com
Very interesting. I guess the antenna is hidden or did BRP get rid of the radio completely? I do like the 10" touch screen. I like the "Flash to Pass" feature on the back side of the handlebar.
They made some positive changes in my mind. I like the new screen the most because the older models tech didn’t work very well. CarPlay is a big deal to me. I also like the reverse a lot better. Looking forward to the install videos.
@@602North I’m going to install a different dash cam hence the reason for the F1 giveaway. I’m going to install an AIO-5 Lite. It has blind spot monitoring as well. The reverse and safety card feature of clockwise turn the throttle clockwise is really cool and hasn’t taken no time to learn. The parking brake is also on the proper side. It’s much easier to remember.
I'm sure someone will buy that Tallboy windshield from you .. Was that an option you chose? I like the stock windshield just not out on the interstate...I really like my 15 inch Freedom... perfect for me! 💜🤗
One good tip I learned from you was hitting the mode button immediately upon starting the Spyder to bypass waiting for the infamous nessage. Can you do the same thing on your new F3 by twisting the throttle before the message comes up?
Yes. You turn the key and you can reverse twist the throttle and clear the screen just like the eco button. I’ll cover that in detail when I do a tutorial on the dash
@@Dansy correct , I tried to emphasize the learning of the buttons but after reviewing I didn’t specify that the touchscreen is disabled while moving. Good catch. How so you like itt?
@@DFWMoose I have a RT sea to Sky and I love it got it a month ago and I have about 2500km on it so far…..any day that it doesn’t rain I use it…..unfortunately I got a Shoei Neotec 3 with the Sena slr3 and since it got only one Bluetooth model while in Intercom (2 up a lot) I got no sound from CarPlay or the radio…nor can I push that to the speaker…..next I need to play with mesh, but I don’t think that will work since it Bluetooth as well……
@@Dansy I assume the Sena you got was a 50 series? I have a Cardo Edge which works fine but I’m not using any Mesh. I have the same Neotec 3. Where are you located?
@@DFWMoose No the SRL3 it’s integrated into the helmet…..it’s a nice system except when I’m on the intercom with the passenger…..I cannot get anything else….eastern Ontario Canada
