I have been reading up on some spiritual texts lately and have been following Swami Sarvapriyanda of the Vedanta Society on RU-vid. The talks are very fascinating. I thoroughly enjoy and learn from his discourses and also the question-answer sessions.
I came across this particular video on Swami Vivekananda's Universal Vedanta | Swami Sarvapriyananda | (youtube.com) channel. In less than 20 minutes Swami Savapriyanda has explained the fundamental difference between Advaita, Vishisthadvaita & Dwaita philosophy. I found it very useful and thought of sharing it with my subscribers, who wish to learn about the concept in a brief video. If you like it share it with others.

Sri Ramana Maharshi 🙏 seemed to have little vedantic tuition prior to His Enlightenment - in this lifetime at least . I find it very telling that when various people brought scriptures to Sri Ramana He once commented that advaitic scriptures best reflected His experience of Self . The direct experience of Advaita is beyond the scriptures of Advaita . Words will always be limiting . The problem i have with the other dualistic schools is ' how can you limit God ? ' . As Sri Ramana Maharshi 🙏 said ' Infinity dies not allow fir funite parts within it ' . 🙏🕉️

This is Swami Sarvapriyanandas viewpoint and Swami Medhananda of the same Ramakrishna Mission has a very different concept structure which includes Bhakti and all the paths to God as equal and not a ladder.. I recommend his talks.

Realising God is very tough for the complicated and simple for the simple. Upanishads, brahma sutras, Bhagavad Gita being three limbs of Vedanta should be studied and understood as it is... Just like in maths we all understand that 2+2=4

Ancient Vedic sages developed six Darshanas including Vedanta. Veda Vyasa has written in detail about Samkhya and Yoga also, apart from Vedanta. Neo Vedantins have suppresed all other Darshanas, except Vedanta. There are a lot of differences within Vedanta itself. Hindus should study all six Darshanas, not just Vedanta. No Darshana is higher or lower.

Swamiji if swami vivekananda preached advaita. Why did his chief disciple sister nivedita wrote in aggressive Hinduism lecture- 1. Buddha accepted world and denied atma 2. Shankaracharya accepted atma and denied world 3 ramakrishna and vivekananda accepted both one and many. 2. Why did swamiji said for ones own salvation and welfare of the world ? World is an illusory on Brahman in advaita. 3. Why sri ramakrishna corrected totapuri? 4. All there stages are present all vedanta schools

How did Advaita became associated with identifying Shiva as Brahma swaroopam vs Vishishadvaita became associated with Vishnu as Brahma Swaroopam?

It is a fact that in the last one thousand years, Vedanta scholars have suppressed all other Darshanas by saying that Vedanta Darshana is superior to other Darshanas. This is childish, ignorant and damaging to Sanatana Hindu Dharma. Different Darshanas deal with different aspects of Sanatana Hindu Dharma and philosophy. These Darshanas are not in running races or conflicts with each other! We should study and learn from all Darshanas. 🙏🏽🕉️🙏🏽

When an individual who follows advaita so strictly is asked whether he belongs to hare krishna iskcon for which he replies that he is not hare krishna but he belongs to Ramakrishna, that means he is dualist, he is finding difference . Similarly, we hv to know the difference between master and His servant (paramatma n atma). Everything can't be one n same. Brahman is one of course that doesn't mean whatever comes out of brahman is non dual.. From mud we can make different pots as well as we can build a hut.. They hv different uses and it's identity is different... Dualism is very easy to understand n realise God, why take complicated path.. Be simple n realise God.. Chant n be happy

Qualified non-dualism does not say jivatma is part of Brahman' nature, as you say. Brahman is indivisible, acceptable by all vedanta schools. Brahman being indivisible must be maintained by all schools.

What do you mean by step higher…do not give biased opinion….saiva siddha to oldest of all…sankara 900 ad, ramanuja 1000ad madwar ( dwaita) 1100 ad Thirugnana sambandar 700 ad …god is another, separate from soul also with the soul … Sankara advaita not based on experience but created to destroy Buddhism. Before Buddha…Vedic scholars perform yag as and you pay for the yoga an and get everything from the lord…does not matter what kind of individual you are. Buddha said you are responsible for your action and yag as are baseless. Then adi sankara came up with a theory that only Brahman and everything else is imagination( because of the first assumption… can’t permit second one)…

Without any realisation, he already concluded VishiShiTaadvaita to be higher than tatvavAda and MAyAvAda even higher than that! Most people analyse other philosophies with a bigoted mind. So, they always end up concluding that their understanding is higher. This SvAmi is one such example. Due to the influence of English, his Sanskrit pronunciation is flawed.

Practical vrdanta IV Swami vivekananda says New discoveries vol 4 page 481 A jiva can never attain absolutely to Brahman until the whole of maya disappears. While there is still a jiva left in maya, there can be no soul absolutely free. In advaita vedanta, who is jivatma ? Jivatma itself is Brahman in empirical form due to unreal ignorance. Vedanta Sutra 1.2.8 God is also due to false ignorance 1.2.20 If we don't accept individual soul and Brahman are different, then we have to accept both are the same and defect of being jivatma is on Brahman only. Brahman being nitya sudddha buddha will be foregone. Teaching of tat tvam asi will be for Brahman. Or teaching will be eternally there. Result in differnce How can you say madhava vedanta is lower than advaita. Sarvapriyananda has not ready one single scripture of Madhvacharya work.

In shankara, vedant achieved its pinnacle, and from ramanuj, started the trend of lower and biased interpretation of vedant with lower levels of understanding due to a certain devotional bias
