Place your tape at the point where you want it to start ( the preferred waist point ) and find your hip point from there

I measured my daughters crotch length and I got 28 but after drafting the pants following this pattern I got 28.5 is there any problem with the extra ½ inch?

Please you said take out 2inches from the waist line for the band, now I’m asking for example the length of my trouser is 42 so I take out 2inches from the 42 for the band right or you will mark the 42inches all together

Ok you said after sewing your crouch would be 30 inches.but i think it would be 29 because you would need ½inch to join the band to the trouser ❤
