This is definitely the most simply I've heard Coverages explained. And I played football for 11 years. Not many people are able to explain things simply. "If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough." - Einstein. Great job.
I definitely enjoyed it is something that I've always wanted to learn I'm 37 I watch football avidly and I'm always trying to read off the television and figure out what my quarterback is looking at and why he makes the decisions that he makes thank you I also watched a video on how to identify man in zone coverage keep doing what you're doing keep teaching we appreciate it
I really appreciate this video man! I’m playing linebacker for my first year next year which is my senior year so I’m trying to learn everything I can in my off season so I can make the most of my senior season, great vid brotha
Bro great vid! I’m happy to subscribe. I’m a 20 year old who’s getting into coaching as an OC, and I’m all in on spread, air raid, run n shoot, and I want to broaden my horizons and this was a great help to that. Love it man!
Thanks for these videos! I just got into Football over here in the UK. Question: a lot of teams here play a 3-4 defence, with four linebackers. Could you do a video like this for a 3-4 setup? Thanks!
I know this is an old comment but what generally happens is that one of the outside linebackers will blitz the qb off the edge effectively becoming a defensive end and turning their side defensive end into a defensive tackle. So it essentially balances out to the same thing as a 4-3 defense most of the time. Hope this helped
Definitely helpful. I played offense all throughout high school at Running Back and when I watch football I am absolutely CONFUSED what the defense is doing every play and never understood because I played offense and special teams but never defense so this was helpful to learn some basics
Not many teams run the basic cover 2, most will run read out of cover 2, telling the corner to scootch out or back pedal reading the number 2 receiver, if 2 goes out (yardage rules very) before 7 yards the corner locks him and safety gets over 1. If 2 goes in or gets past the 7 yard mark corner locks on 1 safety locks on 2
Hey this will hopefully be my first year of playing I'll be a freshman so starting probably to late but this vid helped me alot so hopefully with enough training I can be ready and respect to being cowboys fan Dak all day
Man yal must have terrible coaches if they haven’t explained this to you… I guess Thsts the difference in high school football in Alabama. This is day one stuff. Not knocking the video, thank u for taking the time to do this
Not trynna be disrespectful and all, Just an opinion but do you think you could do reaction vids again like what you did week 1 VS the Giants. Thought that idea was cool.
Cover 4 is usually run with thevmikel defense right? I'd think it'd play well with the 4-2-5 or 3-3-5. 4-2-5, 3-2-6 and the 4-1-6 is a whole another ball game...
