There are many similarities among teacher certification exams regardless of state. However, our materials are aligned with the ETS exam blueprints and test specifications for the Praxis exams. Hi there, I usually start off with a bell ringer to get the student started. Then I usually do a whole group where we go over the objectives and then an activity like read aloud/think aloud. I usually use a PowerPoint or some other visual to help with the read aloud/ think aloud. And I’ll often do a cooperative learning activity. Formative and summative assessments serve different purposes within the educational context. Formative assessments focus on feedback and improvement during the learning process and are typically not associated with norm-based or criterion-based scoring.
