Thank you for this teaching lesson. You sound like a teacher and you didn't talk to fast to where I would feel frustrated. I actually felt calm while listening to this and I learned something too.
Excellent video! I tried explaining ratios to my son for his Losi drag car and apparently I dont explain things well. This helped his tremendously. Now it is time to experiment and have some fun! Thank you!
Its always good to learn from alot of people and take a little from each of them to put with your thoughts and now you know more then 2 of them but together never think you know it all when you thank like that you are as smart as your going to get.
This is really teaching me a lot! I’ve never been able to decide what I’d prefer, faster take off, better for a monster truck and bashing. Buggy/road car, I don’t want no acceleration but I also would like a decent top end too. So maybe a medium would be the best. And I’m running nitro, so I suppose the temp would be important.
I think that there is a little mistake in video! In the last example with the 18 t pinion gear and the 72 t Spur gear, the author says that the gear ratio(10.4:1) is higher and shorter compared to the original ratio of 9.36:1 ! It is shorter but isn’t it lower than the original gear ratio??
1 to 1 is the lowest ratio. If you go more than that you are getting a higher ratio. In other words high ratio you go slower low ratio you go faster. A ratio below 1 to 1 is overdrive
I have a 4s kraton getting 15th tooth pinion put in my kraton THE input gear is being being replaced my Question is is THE 15tooth pinion gear safe being up against spur gears and Differental gear my motor 2400kv Motor 120Esc SERVO not sure what the numbers r on my differental gears or my spur talked to my hobby shop guy about it he said it should be fine told not go stop and go just keep it running and check the temperatures so i bought a heat 🔫 Called dynamite with Built-in laser pointer for accurate target aiming Backlit Readout 2% accuracy Celsius or Fahrenheit auto power shutoff Automatic data hold Low battery indicator operates on included 9v battery
