I just want to thank you so much for posting these free, high quality videos for those of us who want to learn Biblical Hebrew but can't attend a class. God bless you.
And for those of us who attend classes (I am in seminary) but still need more explanation. The rabbi who I am working with is a good teacher, but the class moves very quickly and sometimes I need things explained more than once and in different ways. Having more than one teacher is always good! Thank you for these videos.
I’d heard of bbl before but only in passing . Thank you for recommending your website and bbl this morning at the open class. I’ve signed up for various classes too!!.
Yes, I would like to thank you for being willing to post these free of charge too. You are doing loads of us more good then you’ll ever know. Love the way you clarify things. Great d richly bless you and your work.👏👏👏💙🙏🏼🦋
Todah rabah . I agree with Annie . How long have you been learning Hebrew. About 5 yes for me and slow progress . But picking up much in these last days. I just use my phone and a few books I have bought to learn from. Hebrew the easy way. Prayer book. And first Hebrew primer 3rd Edition. and anything and anybody else I can find of quality that can teach me. But of course the Ruach ha kadosh is our ultimate teacher. Basru m'yom l'yom Yeshua'to
Thank you so very much. It really helps with an English speaking person to teach Biblical Hebrew. The American dialect and vocabulary has a distinction of it's own and conveying some of the concepts in another language can be problematic. God bless you!!!
Where have you been all my life?! Just for the record, I absolutely LOVE this teaching. I wondered if this type of breakdown was even available online. IMO, this should be one of the first things we as Hebrew language learners should learn first. When I 've taught or learned a new language, the first thing I do is whip out my 501 Verbs Fully Conjugated in all the tenses and show kids how to use it like a reference. Once the verbs are understood and "mastered", you can say just about anything, understand or figure out what you're reading and your confidence grows exponentially. Thank you for an excellent Hebrew lesson. (squeals with excitement!)
EXACTLY what I needed for a framework on which to "hang" the factoids I am learning about the verbs in the beloved Tanakh. Thank you for the Scripture-based learning.
Action, sound and form in relationship to the context. The meaning of repetition. The word you see with your eyes and the image you see in your head. And this image with its root connected to the whole world inside the Bible and outside. The connection between words and reality . Magnifiscent ! Thank you. Thank you Israel and G-d's chosen people ✡️.
great lesson. very helpful. its psalm 18:34, not 35. I am new at studying hebrew, and english is my second language, but I used to look up blueletterbible to study more, but this is very helpful about the verbs and the benian... thank you so much
What is the name of the instructor? So easy to listen to and so clear in the explanation. Thank you! The link to the website is broken. Is there a new one?
In the "organic" Binyan chart you provided, the Pa'al (also known as the Qal) are listed in the same voice/tense (i.e., active/present). However, in the "grammar" past tense Binyan table displayed earlier, the Qal and Pa'al are in separate columns. So, are they REALLY the same? Please advise.
Thank you for this video. I have been studying for years and have trouble progressing past early/ beginning intermediate. All the textbooks I find only teach Paal/Qal and or only teach all the binyan conjugating. But, none teach translating different binyan in sentences together. So that I can begin using binyans in sentences and start actually getting past Paal. I don't want more lists of conjugations except as reference. I want actual exercises in all .
You're wasting time, energy and money! Letter of Aristeas, Chapter 1:15-16 15. "'They need to be translated,' answered Demetrius, 'for in the country of the Jews they use a particular alphabet (just as the Egyptians, too, have a particular form of letters) and speak a particular dialect. 16. They are supposed to use the Syriac tongue, but this is not the case; their language is quite different.'" Modern Hebrew is not Hebrew. It's high time we woke up! I studied at an ulpan for two months. A Sabra friend saw my verb book and said that she used the same book in school. She earned a 75%…. What chance do we have.

It's been almost 45 years sence I was in high school. I have forgotten all the rules of the english language. So the rules of hebrew verb and adverbs, pronouns, make no sense to me now. Yet I can speak English. I don't want to learn the rules, I want to speak hebrew, like I speak English. Can you teach that?
Hi, Chiara. Hopefully this helps: After you select a Bible verse in English, click on the TOOLS tab to the left. Then, select the INTERLINEAR tab. This pulls up the verse in Hebrew. ... You may also like the Bible Hub app and the YouVersion Bible app. Both of these offer Bibles in Hebrew. Enjoy! Many blessings. ~ Kathy
Very helpful. In describing the passive voice, I would leave out the "by me" as "mistakes were made" or "the wall was built" leaves the mystery of the doer and the builder offstage, and focuses attention on the recipient of anonymous action.
Tense is not inherent in a Hebrew verb and could be very misleading. Why have you used the term "tense" then? Isn't it better to use the term "conjugation" or "inflection" instead?
Thank you so much for helping me learn how to understand Hebrew better,🤖🙏it's going to take a lot of lessons but I'm willing🏁 to learn how to read and write in hebrew to understand exactly what he wants us to do so we can go to heaven we can enter the gates of heaven the Hebrew alphabet is like a treasure map learn the Hebrew alphabet follow it in consecutive order all the way to the end without fail x marks the spot, praise the Lord ,shalom, mahalo, says the tin Man And the scarecrow too 🤖 good night all 🌛
This binyan concept is taken from the Arabic language, the only difference is that Arabic has much more forms that makes it a way more advanced and rich language
I think most Hebrew speakers can understand biblical Hebrew to some extent, however the grammar and vocabulary is not the same, sometime significantly different.
Don’t forget hebrew is very similar to arabic. Hebrew Aramaic and Arabic are all Semitic languages. I speak arabic so i understand the verb structures.

Yeshua is no different, from Jesus,Hebrew name for Jesus is,Yeshua and English name for Yeshua is Jesus. They are not 2 totally separate names, yet it's our choice english or hebrew, same name, from, Minister L.J.Davis Jr.Shalom and God blessed you.
I know, but in the examples given in this video, they are used as a noun. The fact that the noun and verb forms are the same do not make them interchangable in a sentence.
