In the world of sheet metal fabrication, K-factor and Y-factor are essential concepts that determine the flat pattern of a 3D design. In this video, we will discuss the meaning of K-factor and Y-factor and why they are crucial for sheet metal fabrication. We will also cover the calculation methods for K-factor and Y-factor and provide practical examples to help you understand these concepts better.

hi from your video, you mentioned that K factor is always between 0.3-0.5, but when I used your K factor formula which is (T+R)/T, the K factor will be 2 (if my material thickness is 1.5 and bend inside radius is 1.5). Could you explain thanks

brother, sometime you said R is outside bend radius but sometime you say R is inside bend radius.. that confusing me..

Hello, Brother I went through video after your comment. But not found I mentioned R is outside radius. Anyway brother, R is inside radius of bend and T is thickness. This both term are important while bending. We will not take into consideration of outside radius in sheet metal because inside radius R and thickness T serves all our purpose. So R = inside radius Thank you friend for your comment 😊 Stay connected.......see you in upcoming video😊
