Donald, you gotta start loading up more videos. There isnt anybody else on RU-vid that has the content you have. I'm an electrical contractor s8nce 2003 in Colorado, and I love these videos.

Great video! I would love to see some of your techniques when cutting plaster, and patching it. We work on plaster homes all the time, I have not found any secret tool for cutting it. A multi tool is the best thing I have found. It eats through blades like crazy, but that's the best thing I know of

If you’re just cutting in a box, you can use a dull flathead to chisel the outline of the box in the plaster. It will usually come out in one piece. Then use a multi tool to cut the wood lath

@@samkinyon6214 thank you. Would never have thought of just using a flathead. That plaster has been chewing up blades like crazy!

@@jarrydee2799 just be careful with that technique. Its okay for your own house, but don't attempt in a customers home. Ive seen that technique go sideways quick.

Use a grout removal blade it is designed to cut grout which is harder than plaster.

I never even thought about lead exposure....How is that mitigated for employees?....I'd also like to see a video on just plaster techniques..like cutting a plaster wall. Before Covid, I did restoration in the Bricklayers union. So I love old architecture. You must be good buddies with your local historical society.

This is soooo scary I live in a small town and have a small home that is nob and tube and lathe and plaster Most of the local electrician’s don’t wanna touch the job I’m guessing most don’t know what there doing here, one electrician said he would send 1 guy and I’d be the helper . I’m thinking that’s a bad idea after this video He also said id be better off doing the plaster work myself to save even more money , which sounded good to me since I’ve already learned how to do it from owning the home. But seeing your video where you mention they have no reason to protect the plaster since there not fixing it scares me now Also the electricians wants to avoid the attic and ceiling , I’m realizing now it’s because the possibility of asbestos in the ceiling which is very high with old homes I feel so defeated at this point as I want to upgrade my home so badly to make it safe but it looks like I’m never going to find a electrician here with the skill to do it I’m in big trouble here and don’t know what to do . I don’t have a mansion like these videos my house is a small modest home I’m not sure what to do, do you have any suggestions for me ?

It’s not hard if you do it right and take your time. Where a mask when in the attic. Baby steps, one problem at a time. My technicians make the same mistake- they look at the job as a whole and get defeated.

But how much did it cost?
@DonaldMillerElectric

The customer customizes his price. The property in the video could run anywhere from 50 to 100k depending on what they request.

@@DonaldMillerElectric thank you, well worth it I'm sure. I'm purchasing a 1880s cape in VT that has all sorts of wiring in it including k+t in the attic. Thinking I'm going to look into rewiring EVERYTHING since there are all sorts of other types of wiring as well..

Third video I've watched from you. All three were commercials with absolutely no substance. My hope is I don't come across another of your videos. Hearing about your floor protection when expecting substance is frustrating.

I'm sorry Solar, these aren't How-To videos. It takes years to learn a craft such as this, but good luck on your endeavors.
